Reviews for African Vineyard Guest House
Stunning views and great service
Fabulous rooms and decor. Bad/poor planning and communication. Bad management, owner does not take responsibility and blames staff for everything. No apology for expecting our grandchild to sleep on a floor whilst we booked a bed for her. My advice - train manager.
Beautiful venue, stunning rooms and lovely setting. Booked a family room but when we arrived there was no bed for my child. Sent us a mattress for her to sleep on the floor. After a huge outburst we got a bed for her. No wifi as advertised on booking.com or fireplace. Dinner was lovely except no sauv blanc even though they are a vineyard in wine country. Lastly owner blamed her staff instead of apologizing.Could become a 5 star place if run right
beautiful place tranquil peaceful and all but poor service lacking hospitality
Very romantic atmosphere, beautiful place, very clean, interior decorated with love and very good located. Owner and staff very friendly and helpful, excellent breakfast. Rooms very spacious and clean!
Wonderful place,a place I would recommend for everyone. Not only is it the most beautiful place in the northern cape, but their service is top class. Thanks Elmarie and staff you are the best
Upon arrival we were welcomed by very neatly dressed friendly staff. That was just the start of all our expectations being exceeded. The Room was very rustic, comfortable, BIG, very clean. The food was something from master chef, all delicious, all the time. The vineyard itself had me taken aback with all the thriving vegetation, and flowers, water fountains and fairies, I swear I saw fairies. The evening we had a 4 course meal that was prepared to perfection. The next morning we were greeted by two young ladies to commence with out 90 min massage therapy at the outdoor spa, I think I fell asleep twice. Elmarie and her team definatley deserve 12 stars out of 5.Thank you for making my wife birthday weekend so special.
Nice room and grounds. Outstanding food
Great location. More out of town from Upington than expected. But worth every second. For future visitors, be aware of the bridge crossing the river is only a single lane bridge. So have a look out for oncoming traffic when stopping at the bridge.
This was a wonderful, relaxing experience for us. We felt spoiled with the friendly staff, lovely garden, beautiful spacious rooms. We enjoyed the meals and massages. Great evening away for hubby and me. Thank you so much Elmarie and Team for a memorable stay.
Lovely setting, an oasis in paradise. Service was excellent and the staff were helpful and friendly. Meals were delicious, candles on the tables as we sat outside for dinner next to the swimming pool. A place where one can unwind and relax completely. There are also therapies offered, from facials to massage. The spa area is right next to the river.A lovely setting for a wedding venue. It as long has conference rooms.Highly recommended. We will be back!
Beautiful guesthouse, friendly reception everything was excellent.
Wonderful host and beautiful place.
