A quaint little stone cottage on the outskirts of Sutherland. There is a large fireplace - perfect for cold winter nights and relaxing afternoons. The beds are comfortable and have electric blankets so nice and warm. The kitchen is basic but has all you need. Overall, a good value-for-money place to stay.

Fantastic place to stay. Love the indoor braai/fireplace. Makes the house so cosy and warm. The resident cats are so welcoming and they come and check you out during the day. We even found Anglo Boer War graves in the cemetery, a real treat as we had attended an Anglo Boer War weekend in Majiesfontein.

The whole place reeked of smoke, even when the fire hearth was inactive. Cramped and beds where very uncomfortable. Shower door was missing so cold air flowed in.
