this is a nicely decorated guesthouse that is economically priced, but it has no tv or radio in the standard bedrooms & our beds only had one pillow. that wouldn't have worried me, except that the owner spent 10 minutes seriously ranting at us for using a small table in the kitchen that was not in the "private" area that we were originally told not to use. a simple "please do not use this table" would have sufficed. After his outburst, there is no way myself or numerous of my friends would ever stay there again. courtesy is free, and in the hospitality industry is essential if guesthouses wish to keep their clientele happy.

The place is beautifull however i have to write this review as i need to share what i experienced even though it was not directed at me. When we first arrived we saw a sign saying private on top of a little table in the kitchen which is a totally opened plan kitchen facing the lounge area . I assumed the sign saying private meant the kitchen and that we were not allowed in the kitchen. We then found out through other people that we were allowed to use the fridge near the table that had the private sign on it and that we were allowed to use the glasses in the cupboard BUT what we were not allowed to do was have anything not even a glass on top of this table. This we found out when we took take aways back to the place and we put a salad container from woolworths on top of the table while we were arranging the plates etc in the kitchen. So we were allowed to use the fridge..walk into the kitchen...use the glasses but dont u dare even put a glass on that table......we found this out when the gentleman which is the owner came down and saw the salad container on top of the table. He shouted at us asking if we never saw the PRIVATE SIGN on top of the table and was extremely rude about it. I just want to say this kitchen should then not have that table there. Take it to your own private establishment where you live but dont confuse people by having it there in a comunial area. Also dont shout at people and make people feel uncomfortable. I only stayed one night and am only to happy that i only stayed one night as i would have hated to stay another the people that are staying there the rest of the week...i just want to say i feel for you AND REMEMBER TO NOT TOUCH THAT DARN TABLE. Like i said it is pity as the place is really nicely done out and the lady which i presume is the gentlemans wife is so sweet however i wont be back. The gentleman either needs to not be in hospitality or go on medication for his rash out of nowhere anger. May i suggest you apologise to your guests that are still staying there for the next few nights as your tantrum was totally uncalled for.
