Reviews for Bains Lodge
Awesome but cold in the cabins. Still very nice to stay
It was a weekend to remember, very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was great as well as the dinner. The only real problem was the loud noise of the music and the people after dark.
Bains Game Lodge is just perfect! I like Western Saloon that is also on the premises. The apartments are very nice and modern. If you want to get a drink, try the various bars on the premises!
I would like to thank Veronique , staff from reception and kitchen staff for the wonderful service they gave to us. Everything was fantastic starting from the time I checked in till the following day. Keep up the good work
Wide variety of shoes for both men and women. The prices are also reasonable. Just get there as soon as they unpack as stock goes fast.
We lived in the wooden cottage number 17. The linen was nice and clean but for besides that we were disappointed. The braai unit is falling apart and the braai-utensils useless. It was a mission to lock the front door and then it was still skew. The bathroom/toilet is a disgrace. The toilet unit is loose and the shower unit needs to be replaced. The ceiling and floor of shower displays all the colours of fungi you can find. The kitchen has no proper bowls and the drinking glasses miniature. The whole unit needs to be upgraded.I am afraid to say we will rather not go there again or even recommend it for the money we paid and use our other options.
Stayed in cabin. Nice venue but walls are very dirty. Could be a great place...
We spent a night in 2012, reception was friendly and our room was good, clean and fresh. Revisited now in August, reception was grumpy and unfriendly. The foyer door had been bashed in, The carpets were stained and dirty, Moisture damp on the walls, broken tiles in the bathroom, No hot water, Cupboard hinge door broken and the unit stank of stale smoke. Restaurant also run down and in desperate need of some maintenance. In general, the complex is badly run down.Definately NOT to be recommended .
Been staying there a while back. Its a chilled and safe place. Good food. Kind people. The vibe.
The state of the cabin that my family and myself were assigned to was appalling, I had not expected the place to be so neglected and unclean. After turning on the air-conditioner for a bit of warmth, we were left in total darkness for a few minutes before locating the electric board. We could hardly wait for the morning.
Don't know where the pics are of the log cabin we stayed in but it is def not on the website - it is shocking and i was disgusted - and to think that i booked here in stead of a guest house which is 100 more livable for the same price - the people who give it good reviews certainly don't get out much
Bains Game Lodge is great place for over night or a holiday. The staff is always friendly and I for one never want to leave after spending time here. It is away of the city buzz and easy to get to. When visiting Bains Game you feel relaxed and is always looking forward to coming back. With the three pubs, a dinner, lunch is always joufull and have a great atmosfeer.
Lived there for a year, I enjoyed it. Driving distance to nice eating establishments. Not very central however
Not bad, not great. Water not safe to drink. Rooms small. Nice pub.
Definately not a place I would stay again. The rooms were filthy.Dirty feet marks on the wallsBathrooms really dirty
Comfortable stay. Cabins needs some TLC.
