Reviews for Bannister Hotel
The experience was very good, I'll definitely come back here.... everything about the hotel was on point. Thank you to the management and staff of The Bannister Hotel for the exceptional hospitality.
Monday to Thursday should be nice and peaceful. However their ground floor restaurant (The Banister), turns into a night club on Friday and Saturday nights. It's great fun, but I'm not so sure about the hotels guests.
This has to be one of my top 2 favourite places in Johannesburg. The food, drinks and music are fantastic, great service and the perfect way to spend your evening. Alice, Andrew and their team really do an amazing job. Don't miss this
Place was good... The noise from the street is really bad... One cannot sleep. I will recommend to the owners sound proof windows. All together staff food and accommodation is good.
Always a pleasure being at The Bannister; whether it's staying at the hotel, having a meal or being entertained by the various events (comedy, music, storytelling, etc.) Or and the people are amazing; never know who you might meet there.
Great venue great vibe but the service is the worst I've experienced. The common misconception might be that black tables don't tip so let's not give them as much attention. But we don't tip because we are treated like second rate citizen. And aajority of the crowd was black when I was there. Spent 5 hours at this place and both waitresses whom tended to my table were no good. I want to return but if this is the standard of service that I am to expect when I'm here...
Very nice hotel. Staff are very friendly and always willing to assist. Rooms are nice but somehow small. I Will gladly recommend to any one who wants to visit Johannesburg
Nice venue, but small. Dining is better in the day. If you are a hip hop fan this place is great. They don't play a lot of house.
A winner all round... rooms are well maintained, the staff ultra friendly and helpful, the restaurant/bar/lounge/office was superb, didn't need to leave the area for one thing... got work done, entertained clients, had my meals, danced and slept - all in one place... leaving was the biggest challenge, ended up extending my stay.
Really a great remarkable place. Great music, great vibe and affordable. Love it.
Bar is great but havr never gone into the hotel. Bar has a great vibe if you looking for a great Friday out
Not bad, but no room service had to go downstairs and pick up my own food
Very clean and quiet. I was on the first floor and could hear the buzz of the street outside when the window was open. When closed, it is as quiet as a mouse stealing your cheese. Secure parking. Cheap.
Situated in the heart of Braamfontein, if you are looking for a place that will stimulate your creativity, this place may be the spot for you. The front has foldable windows where you can sit and enjoy your food and drinks while getting a view of the lively streets.
"Am never going to this place"
1..rooms are not up to standard 2. Cockroaches 3.u feel as if u sleeping in some dodgy backpacker.I wonder why we paid so much money
"Poor customer service"
1. They did not know about my booking.2. dirty sheets, no pillows, no towels, no toilet paper.3. felt unsafe, some guy kept on knocking at my door.4. shower drainage blocked5. no shower caps6. some guy shouted at me for staying in a room for free meanwhile I paid.7. extremely poor service.
