Reviews for Blouwaterbaai Holiday Resort
Service good. Value for money
I had the most amazing stay. Will definitely be checking in soon!
Peaceful. Made a huge bonfire that you could see from space
Beautiful setting and came highly recommended but what a disappointing experience. Lack of staff. Staff on duty no idea what is going on around them. Had to ask for service. Wrong orders delivered to table. When asked to speak to a manager or the chef we were told by the waitress they dont want to see us. Very very disappointed. One star for the only positive which was the food. When correct order eventually arrived it was heavenly.
Very beautiful place. Located on the beach front. The restaurant has a very nice ocean view.
Such an amazingly beautiful setting with the ocean so blue, it almost looks fake! Also, beautiful conference room and friendly service!
Great place with great food. Unfortunately very unfriendly waiter, that has served me on multiple occasions. Has an attitude, like im doing him the biggest favour just by eating there. Really makes the whole experience negative which is unfortunate, because i really like your lodge.
Blue bay lodge is a lovely place just to relax away from home and everyday's duties. The place is pleasant to be at just one thing though they can have a fire place and heaters put in for those cold winter nights. But overall I love this place will come back again keep up with the good service rating u 5stars
We were super impressed by this gem on the Cape West Coast. We received a warm welcome from the staff and they were more than willing to show us around. There were loads of lovely spots for taking wedding photographs. We loved the initiative of having a free coffee if you collect any litter on the beach. The food was top notch, and we must say we have not seen such a gorgeous spread of canapes at a wedding in ages! Well done to your team for running such a great establishment!
Blue Bay lodge is one if the classy places you can find in the area and i found it on Google and was pleasantly surprised. Lovely location on the beach with an amazing view from the dining room over the sea. Highly recommended. Friendly staff with good service and delicious meals.
Lovely fish and great wine. Very well priced. Lovely voew of the bay. Recommended
Great food, great atmosphere and best of all is the view! The weekly restaurant specials are great value for money. The restaurant is modern and very comfortable. Service is overall good, can be a little bit slow sometimes. The bar makes an awesome social place to meet with friends. The rest of the facilities offered are top notch as well.
Nice breakfast. Stunning view over the Atlantic Ocean. Service is 5 star and serve a hearty and healthy breakfast. Wide variety of food to accommodate different tastes.
It is really a lovely place to stay at and situated right at the ocean. It offers alot for a great price. It does however look broken down when approaching and entering the resort but really not the case. Restaurant and bar has a beautiful view of the ocean and rooms are very clean as well as towels and linen. We would definitely return for a second time. Breakfast is very tasty, however no omelettes were served which was our favourite. Lunch and dinner were also very tasty especially for the Indian lamb curry.
"Visit to Blouwaterbaai from 8 - 10 July 2005"
We had a lovely weekend. Very peaceful and the children did have lots of fun as they could entertain themselves in a safe environment with games like tennis and trampoline etc. Units were clean and self sufficient and the fire place inside was nice as it does get cold. They can however situate the light outside better as difficult to see at braai area at night. All in all, a nice place to unwind and not too far from Cape Town. Will be even better in summer, I think.
Stay was peaceful and relaxing. Issues I feel need attention:1. The bedrooms have no heating facility, extremely cold at night.2. The entrance door has no curtains/blinds - cold and no privacy.3. Braai area has no lighting.4. Some color would brighten up the chairs and bedrooms Besides these issues, enjoyed the stay. Thank you
