It's beautiful with stained windows and glass stairs. It has a beautiful boat house and you can go canoeing or go for a hike.

Big attractive billboard made us decide to stop here for a drink after a beautiful hike. After 1 km on the road to the place we see an unfriendly sign that reads Day visitors are not allowed...

Always a lovely place to be even in winter. A serious consideration has to be made for air-conditioning in the rooms or heated flooring as it gets unbearable in cold nights. All that is rewarded though in mornings as one wakes up to the beautiful lake and mountains surrounding the place.

"The boat house, and the general beauty of the lodge - inside and outside!"

Since the moment we drove onto the premises we loved every minute of our stay! The location is breathtaking and the forest and gardens were a joy to explore. The interior of the lodge is beautiful - you already feel spoiled when you walk through the doors. We were welcomed so warmly and thanks to the manager felt so at home. It was great to be able to use all the facilities, especially the boat house. Having coffee in front of the fireplace with autumn views over the lake were heavenly.

We were blown away by the truly magnificent surroundings. The beautifully maintained garden which stretches from the main living area right up to the indigenous forest and along the banks of the trout dam. We found the mixture of natural and carefully selected hand planted trees and shrubs created a fairy tale like atmosphere when we went on walks. The room was comfortable and well equipped, and the staff members were friendly and attentive. Thank you Katie for the superb breakfasts with the eggs fried exactly the way we asked for.
