Brinksfontein Guest House - Sutherland, Hantam Karoo

Brinksfontein is a Guest House, situated 60 kilometres from Sutherland, in the tranquillity of the Karoo, on a gravel road. Brinksfontein is the perfect place to kick off your shoes and recharge your batteries.

Our accommodation is offered in a fully self-catering cottage. The cottage was built on the slopes of the Kurds Karoo's rocky outcrops. The charming unit has no electricity and no cell phone reception and is ideal for guests who are conscious of the environment.

The cottage has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The first bedroom has two single beds and a baby cot can be provided on request. The second bedroom has a double bed and a three-quarter bed. The third bedroom has 2 single beds.The first bathroom is equipped with a shower, a gas geyser, a toilet and a basin. The second bathroom is outside the house and contains a shower and toilet. The bedroom also has hot water bottles and extra blankets.

The open-plan kitchen and living area have a fireplace and comfortable couches. The kitchen is equipped with a two-plate gas stove, a gas fridge, cutlery, crockery and a dining table with seating for eight people. The cottage has a whole collection of magazines and books and there are also board games and chains. There is an old sheep trough and a boma braai outside the cottage so guests can relax in the fresh Karoo air.

Firewood are available on request. Guests can enjoy mountain biking and hiking on the farm.
