Reviews for Crawfords Beach Lodge
The staff are so friendly, make you feel like family. The most wonderful weekend, filled with long walks, good laughs and the best food.
Food was amazing. Staff super friendly
Very well worth a visit. Great setting with excellent restaurant. Enjoy a stunning view of an awesome beach that is ideal for swimming surfing and fishing. Also has a river a short walk away where a tranquil canoe paddle can be enjoyed. The chalets between the trees are spacious with good quality bedding and notably well maintained. A must to stay at when visiting the area.
Our family loves staying at Crawfords Beach Lodge. Great food, lovely accommodation and beautiful beach. This place is a real gem!
Beautiful setting. Pleasant staff. Good food. Best of all comfy bed with white linens
We stayed at Crawfords Beach lodge on the weekend of the 23 March 2018 It was an amazing experience, The staff was so friendly and helpful. It is really a precious piece of paradise.
Crawfords is the sort of place you don't want to review because you want to keep it all to yourself, but I must as it is wonderful. The views and the location are second to none, we treated ourselves to the honey-moon room which surpassed expectations. The staff are great and super helpful, helping us to arrange a game drive and spa visit. I will say that the dinner each night was a little samey, but beyond that Crawfords is fantastic and we will be back.
Great food and accomodation, owners always willing to please, Just a very relaxed enviroment! Love it!@
One of my favourite places in the Eastern Cape, it's a win for the whole family. They serve amazing food, there's also a kiddies menu- it was a hit with my toddler. Great staff and the hosts are lovely.
Cosy, relaxing beach accommodation. Good variation of food. Friendly and accommodating staff. Wellness Centre and various activities. Kids friendly with own kids club. Owner managed.
"Outstanding Service over the years...."
The management and staff of Crawfords Beach Lodge went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. From the reception desk to the waiters in the dining hall, all were extremely professional. This attests to thorough training and maintenance of standards.
Our room had a beautiful view of the beach, was within easy walking distance from the dining facilities and it was spotlessly clean. When we returned from dinner that evening, a welcoming chocolate had been placed on our turned-back covers. This attention to detail did not go unnoticed either. :)
The chef and kitchen team also need to be highly commended on the excellentbuffet they provide: thereare a variety of products for each stage of a menu, incredible flavours and textures whether you are looking at starters, main course, desserts or cheeses and crackers. The beverages in the adjoining lounge, where they also keep a welcoming fireburning, are also accompanied by three delicious types of cookies. All in all, a culinary delight!
I need to add that I, at a personal level, have enjoyed meals (some booked and others impromptu), overnight stays and two day workshops here for work purposesover the last eight years and cannot ever recall having had a disappointing meal or experience. This family has therefore convinced me that they believe in service excellence.
"Stop one on trip from Durban to Cape Town in July"
Stunning location, well appointed, good home style cooking.
