Reviews for DAVINCI Hotel and Suites
Amazing place. Great hotel facilities. Great conferencing facilities. The most knowledgeable and helpful employees. I would rate them 7 stars if I could.
Great attentive service from all the stuff. Very clean, big comfortable rooms, wonderful linen, great breakfast and the dining room, that is actually an elite restaurant in the evening, good atmosphere and wonderful service in the lobby. The hotel stands on the top of mall, more like a city with open air beautiful Mandela square. The view in my room was to the street and a business building.
Very nice hotel. Great location. Great restaurant below. Good breakfast options, smoothies are very good. Typical hotel gym. Friendly staff. Baby accommodating.
Very nice hotel in a great location within Johannesburg. Has a current, even contemporary look without crossing into "weird" territory, but the hotel does have a very large feel to it. The staff are very pleasant and accommodating. Everything seems to be black, white, and silver colored, giving the place a sleek look. Room was spacious and well appointed.
Great hotel, however frequent "walks of shame" by the ladies of the night seems to be a regular occurrence here. Something I have never seen during my past stays. The elevators open to the 3rd floor, and you will also find these ladies asking you for a hook right there. Da Vinci better do something about this!
A warm well come from the Potters , Mr Billy he do every thing with the smile , he loved his job keep it up the good work ,I like the place Nice and Clean
Very nice hotel. Service is great. Staff are very friendly and helpful and get to know your name very quickly. Hotel is in a shopping centre so plenty of choice for food and leisure. Spa, gym, meeting rooms are all nicely done. Plenty of options for breakfast. Rooms are what you'd expect in a nice hotel, spacious, clean with plenty of nice little touches. Room service food is not great, so I'd recommended choosing from one of the many restaurants nearby. We went around quite a few of them and bumped into some famous people along the way.
Very exceptional hotel. Beautifully decorated and the staff are very friendly. The gym has more than the typical hotel gym and the equipment is in very good shape. The view of the pool from the gym, hotel restaurant and room is a must if staying here. Its beautiful.
This place is so amazing you will think you re in the middle of New York. It is so beautiful the suits and the rooms. Wow! Its amazing how we have such standard in our city. This is definitely beautiful, the stuff I so friendly and so professional. Im in love.
Lovely rooms. Bed is comfortable. Attention to detail is great. Service is good and staff is friendly. Breakfast was also great. Reach right from the mall and so quick to access from the airport via the gautrain. Will stay here again. Struggled to find an outlet to charge my phone.
This hotel is very nice and well-situated on Mandela Square, close to many restaurants and the mall. My room was comfortable and clean. The only problem was that there was a strong sewer smell coming from the drain pipe in the bathroom - it was strong enough that I had trouble sleeping at night. I was able to partially mitigate the problem by closing the bathroom door and drawing the curtain across it, but then the smell would hit me when I went to brush my teeth in the morning. I told the hotel staff and they said this was a common problem (my coworker also complained about the same issue). The hotel sent a maintenance person to my room but he was not able to fix the issue as it had to do with the drainage pipe installation. Unfortunately I experienced this unpleasant room smell for 7 days. It was disappointing that such an upscale hotel would not be able to solve this issue which obviously affected other guests as well. I appreciated all of the hotel's amenities but would hesitate to stay there again unless the drainage pipe issue gets resolved.
I have spend almost two months living here and I have to say the hotel has everything you need. Nice breakfast service, one of the best I had for a hotel. Nice pool area and really cool lobby. The gym needs an update but nothing you cant work around. The staff is the best great friendly caring people.
I stayed in the hotel for business meetings for several days. Overall I had a good experience. Hotel was clean and modern with ample amenities. The conference facilities were well set up and catering was well varied and never went wanting. Late day chocolate cookies were always a hit. Couple of improvement opportunities, breakfast was a bit hit and miss, gym never seemed to have towels in the morning and perhaps it's worth adding another elliptical runner as there is only one. Overall I hope to have a chance to stay again.
Upmarket hotel with a great concierge in the heart of Sandton city with direct easy access to the shopping mall and convention centre. The staff is friendly and efficient and the food is good. However the bathroom doors slam when closed, the pool is awkwardly situated next to restaurant and we spent the night with our neighbors trying to open our door.
