Reviews for De Waterkant House - Village & Life
Great host,excellent accomodation.
An earthy, cosy and secure residential extravaganza amidst the very cosmopolitan, happening Cape Town. De Waterkant village doesn't loose out on the perks of the urban metropolitan city despite being safely, quietly tucked away in one corner. It taught me a very urban, quaint and laidback way of living the true urban life.
Lovely situated and very cosy area. The flat was roomy but not all lamps were working which does not make a good impression.Would go again though
Nice place.Felt staff were mean to me on last day. I checked out at11 Explained to staff that I felt unwell requested to stay in small room near reception but they declined
This place is like heaven on earth
No air-conditioning so room gets very hot. Bathroom is tiny with shower in the bath. There is no washing machine. Safe didn't work. Reception was not very welcoming.
Love it. Best place to stay and eat. Love the restaurants in the area.
De Waterkant is ideally placed to give you a feel for the real side of Cape Town and yet is only 10 mins walk from the V&A. If you dont want to walk back to the V&A at night there is a great range of restaurants nearby. If you have hired a car you are also ideally placed to head out to the Coast or Stellenbosch. The rooms and facilities are also very good and we loved the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
We were overall very satisfied with our stay. The house is beautiful, the location is great and staff friendly and helpful. The negative thing was that sounds from the street could be disturbing at night time.
