Reviews for Ebenezer Guest House
Nice and warm
Staff very friendly. Very neat and clean
Excellent service, very friendly and cheaper than other guest house. I will definitely make a stop, and visit this place again.
Terrible , no hot water, got parked in and and large nails in the driveway
Neat and clean albeit busy with renovations. According to the owner Marie, premises provide sleeping for 68 people. We enjoyed our overnight.
Great place for laying ones head while passing through from CT. Got to dip in pool after Karoo heat. Was warmly received by Marie(owner) and Tersia(manager). Both shared plants and gardening insights. Place is a travellers lodge, so you get fit-for-purpose amenities of a room in a converted house. Met other people doing as we were. Liked it. Will do it again.
Horrible service. One of the worst guest houses I've ever been to. I recomend staying in any other guest house in Colesberg seeing as it would be more accommodating. The pictures of the venue and rooms as advertised creates a false impression and idea - the actual accommodation is far worse and shabby and looks nothing like it is advertised. Everything was a mess and appeared to be in shambles - by far the worst experience and service I've ever had! Upon arrival everything was a mess and the rooms we booked 2months ahead of time and paid for were "unavailable". We had trouble once again upon returning a second time and we had no place to sleep....after much arguing and a unpleasant exchange we had rooms to sleep in...once again not those we booked in advance. This guest house is not even worth the one star rating I had to give.
I did enjoy my stay at Ebenezer guest house. It was convenient for me for the night and the house was very clean and the owner was very friendly.
"Ebenezer Guesthouse, Colesberg"
The place is a little run down. They were busy with renovations at the time we checked in. We received a friendly welcome and got everything we asked for when we needed utensils for our braai.Disappointingly the pool was unkept with no fence and the grounds rather small for our two energetic young boys. The room was neat. Our stay for one night at Ebenezer was sufficient.
