Pleasant place to meander around. Very much a typical beach / promenade feel. Lots of beach shopping, restaurants, cantinas to coffee bars not to mention the ice cream kiosks. Nothing exceptional but kids will like waking around. It is family friendly. Great view towards Robben Island.

Very aesthetically pleasing environment. With the sea on the one side and the buildings designed to complement the surrounding, with a very earthy neutral palette. Kid friendly also as there is open space to play.

A good selection of restaurants with lovely sea views. During the day this place is awesome. However at night not so much. The beggars at night become confrontational and aggressive if you don't give them any money for "watching" your car and there is no security guard to keep them in check. Not cool.

Beautiful sunset views from the beach as well as great restaurants to choose from. Eden on the bay is very dog friendly which is a mega plus for all who love animals as there are plenty of happy dogs waiting to be rubbed

Eden on the Bay is a 30min drive from Cape Town CBD. This is a mall where mostly locals visit and I wouldn't say it's a tourist spot. Although it could be. It's the ideal place for surfers and kite flying. It has restaurants, convenient stores etc. All the makings of a mall but I think the best part of this mall is how calm and relaxing it is. It is along the beach or I could say it is next to the beach. The beach isn't crowded or loud like the other beaches in Cape Town (due to small amount of people) . You could get a nice cup of coffee from the mall and walk to the beach, sit down and peacefully read away. You also get a good view of the surfing and Table Mountain. On another note, it could be too relaxing for some. There isn't a large variety or amount of shops here so you could get bored if you don't feel like sitting still. It's a very nice place to get a refreshing view of Cape Town. A good family day location or a picnic spot with your significant other.

Eden on the Bay always has such a great vibe. Love all the different restaurants, coffee shops & takeaways. Literally something for everyone, whether you want smoothies or pizza. A few places also sometimes have live music at night and great happy hour specials. I love coming here.

Let's start with the best part... the view. No matter which of the restaurant you choose if you sit outside you will just have the most amazing view of our iconic Table Mountain. The food variety is great and I personally have not had any issues with any of the staff members working here. The beach here is not 100% beautiful since we had the big storm but it is being worked on. It's also one of the only beached this side that has a lifeguard center so it's much safer for your extreme sports. There is also a lovely grass area for you to sit on if you not a fan of the cold water and beach sand. Here you can watch the kitesurfers, suppers and surfers, hear the beautiful music of the ocean without actually being covered in sand :) during the day you can see Robnen Island. This beach is the best place to learn to surf and or sup if you would like to give it a try.

Has wide range of restaurants and fast food outlets to cater for all tastes. Park outside can get very busy but there is Under ground parking at no cost. You can sit and watch kit and board surfers. If you brave enough to swim, there is life guards. Water is very cold but refreshing on a hot day

It's pretty, but boring, and the restaurants are mediocre. It starts to be pretty great after 5 beers and it's really cool after 10 but it's far out of town so don't drive for a few hours after testing the beer (they don't really have exotic beers anyway). The public toilets are cleaned continuously. Big lawns for kids to play on. Best view of Table Mountain. Popular hang-out for everyone from families to young adults and big bikers. You could spend a good few hours there happily. Has a Pick'nPay, a pharmacy, a small shopping centre and some fairly interesting little shops --> nothing expensive + if it is expensive you're being screwed. Surrounded by lots of small modern housing units. Nice beach (but this is the Atlantic so it's cold) kite surfers, ordinary short-board surfers, folks with kites on the beach + lawns (there is a steady, cool breeze that can turn into a pretty strong wind all the way up the West Coast). Old folks may not enjoy this so much. Better if you're young and strong. Good bodies on display.

Lots of shops and restaurants to enjoy a nice meal by the beach. Some construction at the moment but nothing to worry about really. Good to bring the family and friends. Good for groups or couples. Nice Table Mountain view area to take pictures from. Good security and available disability parking.
