Reviews for Farm Inn
Awesome spot for families with young kids and the food is very good. Service is a little slow but when people are chilled it doesn't matter. Will be back again.
Service is excellent but parking is very far from the rooms and when we checked out our luggage got soaked by rain on our way to the car. The breakfast and restaurant is impeccable, the animals was the highlight for the kids. The beds are really comfortable.
We had a lovely stay at Farm Inn,the wild life theme is amazing. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and beautiful, bed is a bit small though(double bed). Breakfast was on point. Only concern was it starts at 7am which is a bit late if you need to leave early. Pity we arrived at night left in the early,we didn't get to enjoy thouroughly.
This is a lovely place to take your family for a day out. Amazing taxidermy of the big 5. They have a petting zoo, jumping castle and restaurant. Also they do weddings and birthdays. Very clean bathrooms and friendly staff. Definitely a place to support. Variety of different animals.
"Family Friendly and Relaxing Environment"
We love the venue, style and activities on offer at Farm Inn. The only negative is the dated bathrooms, but the decor and styling is lovely. Please allow windows to be opened, as we arrived to a mouldy smelling room, other than that we had a fantastic time, and we'll be returning soon.
Outside seating is very relaxed and inside is quite classy. It's really a great place, but if you sit too far from the kitchen when you're outside, your food and hot drinks may arrive cold. A lovely experience none the less.
Our stay and the food wss great!
Do you want to escape the city and the noise of all sorts it brings?? This is the place to visit. I enjoyed it, loved it...the food was delicious. Rooms have all the basic needs. While in the room I could hear the lion roaring... amazing experience.
Stunning place. I loved every second at The Farm Inn. Our suite was exceptional and the buffet breakfast was unbelievable. Definitely, definitely coming back. Thank you to all the friendly staff who clearly love working there. I cannot fault a thing.
A lovely space with play area and restaurant space to grab a quick and easy meal while keeping an eye on the young ones. Usually has a jumping castle and pet farm with the opportunity to feed the animals. Great choice for a laid back and relaxed chill day with the whole family.
Beautiful venue however the service is atrocious. We were informed a waiter would be sent to take our order. After waiting over an hour we called over a passing waiter to ask for service. He proceeded to ask "What do want" to which we replied "Menus". Fifteen minutes later he returned with ONE menu (there were three of us adults sitting at the table). We asked him to please bring three menus and he stormed off to get them. He failed to clear up the previous patrons' detritus and we had to ask for cutlery. The meals were good however we had to wait thirty minutes for same and they were SANDWICHES. Great looking venue however for a 4 star rating the service is sorely lacking.
I've been to Farm Inn many times, going right back to the days when it was a simple thatched hotel with a cozy restaurant. Most recently however I attended a bigger function on the premises which gave me an opportunity to observe a busy Saturday with multiple functions at the same time.Lets start with the organising. Pretty reasonable and always someone that you can ask. There was a big sign board outside, listing all the functions, but it was a bit too much and I just stumbled around by asking. It worked well. I also had the impression that the staff were coping with the workload and our tea and equipment was all exactly as ordered. So then on to the food, and dinner specifically. Pretty good stuff, tasty, albeit stock standard fare (by which I mean nothing exotic). Dinner was memorable. If you can handle a busy venue, this place can work for you.
Went to farm in for a day visit. Food was good beautiful surroundings, kid friendly. They have animals for viewing but loose stars since animals are not well looked after. Child friendly!
Its a hidden away oasis. The game drive is very informative and you are able to view the animals up close. They have lions, tigers, leopards and the black panther. The white lion is the best part. After the game drive you are able to go for the buffet. Its a must have. The food is amazing and delicious and they have a great variety of food. You can take a walk around and they have a petting zoo which is great for children. One of the best family outings in Pretoria East.
Farm Inn is unique in its offering combination: accommodation, conferencing, wildlife, authenticity. Some rooms are well appointed and furnished giving you a felling of nostalgia and plush rustic lifestyle with modern amenities. The fireplaces in these rooms are a nice touch especially for a winter stay. Other rooms require refurbishment as furniture, carpets and amenities are outdated. The food is good but ordinary and some staff are friendly and helpful. The bar is small and quaint but also requires a makeover
Great place to take the kids. Nice petting zoo and some big cats to look at too. Food is affordable and alcohol is served. The service is not the best, don't be in a hurry to eat. Sometimes live bands too.
Beautiful environment, friendly and professional personnel. A true peace of heaven and serenity. I will definitely recommend this place and people anytime. The game drive for me and my wife was SUPER, Quentin is super guy and you can see the passion for animals.
