Reviews for Hermanus Beach Club 165
Very peaceful and a spacious well equipped place to spend a week
The wind was a bit of an issue but this is Hermanus after all so I cant blame anything. The facilities and available houses to stay in were good, the security is also great. I would recommend this place.
No real beach, it's very rocky. Wide open spaces though for the kids to run and play. Close to the CBD and easy to spot whales from your rooms
Lovely accommodation especially if you're taking your kids along. Lots of activities for them to enjoy such as tennis, putt putt, swimming etc so then you can get a bit of a break too :)
Beautiful views. Tranquil surroundings. The accommodation was wonderful The chalets we were in we're the 3 bedroom ones with two full bathrooms. Cleaning service came around everyday and they were friendly..
Neat and clean with really nice accommodation. offers play areas for children and small games room. Onsite bar and tuckshop. It does not offer a sandy beach...but rather very rocky access to the sea. overall very nice place.
Loved it. Great apartment with stunning decor and views.
Beautiful surroundings. Close to everywhere. Clean and easily accessible
Lovely views. What is disturbing is a notice in the flat that one should not leave the perimeters of the property, as it is very dangerous. This is not indicated on documentation received.
I went to Hermanus beach club with my kids aged 10 and 12. From all the places we went to this is the only place they did not like. The games room are completely outdated, it has more than 5 games that is out of order. It has 4 pool tables, unfortunately the felt on the tables are worn and the cue's they give you which just so by the way you have to pay a R50 deposit for are also not sound to use. I personally think thats a rip-off. The pools as my son pointed out are of no use because its icy cold. He mentioned that they should have had atleast 1 heated pool as the night air can get very cold, so swimming in the evening was out of the question. The days were no better. There also no atm machines on this premises where everything gets charged cash only. Not much to do here unless tennis and putt-putt is what you in to. Definitely not a holiday venue for kids, well my kids any way. Adults who are interested in relaxing and staying in might enjoy the scenery it has to offer.
Very nice and secure, like the fact that you have privacy and that you can walk to to the beach. Rooms are nice and compact And small is more for a small family.
Safe and secure with excellent security. Been living in beach club for couple of years and had no problems with security. Rooms are small but play area and outside facilities are excellent. Safe and beautiful coastal path which is inside the security complex. No beach though! Had whale sightings 50m from shoreline due to deep coastal shoreline. Ample play area for kids, clean swimming pools, classy clubhouse with a clean holiday atmosphere and friendly staff. Management is everyday on duty which makes it a pleasure whenever there is an issue and need to sort it out. Gardens and lawn area well maintained with cleaning staff working full time everyday. Definitely worth a visit, especially out of season
A gated secure complex at the beachfront. The common areas are well maintained and there is strict security at the gate. There is a small but quite rocky beach and not ideal for sunbathing and no swimming allowed because of the huge surrounding rocks and strong currents. There two pools available for residents and holiday tenants as well as various activities like putt putt and a games video arcade room but these are paid activities except for the pools. The unit we stayed in was clean and well maintained with a good seaview. There are communal braai spots near the one pool as well. The only negative is that the surrounding residents which include a rather large informal settlement nearby also have access from the beach side on both sides as the complex is not entirely enclosed. The access en route from the main road to the complex is via the informal settlement which is basically on the doorstep of the complex.
Loved every moment of the weekend away to Hermanus Beach club. It's a beautiful place, stunning views. The accommodation is amazing, it's spacious and neat. It's a must go destination! There is a park, pool, pool tables, arcade games, a bar, mini putt putt.
