Reviews for Hotel Portao Diaz
We had a business trip in Mosselbay and surrounds and booked at Hotel Portao Diaz. Booking was confirmed in a few minutes and we were off to a good start! I have read most reviews and most talked about how good they were treated by the staff! I can vouch 100% for that. They weren't staff, they became family. There is a great saying "Don't judge a book by it's cover" This hotel is a gem. Awesome staff and it felt like a home away from home! Portao Diaz you get 5 stars from me, and please promise me you will look after amazing staff! They made the trip just so much more memorable. I have family in Mosselbay now.
Had an fantastic time. The staff is friendly and service is good. Will definitely come back.
Hotel rooms was clean and nice. Not in a nice area dogs barking the whole night and felt a bit unsafe. The breakfast is really bad. I was there for a business trip and had to dish up from the fire while the wind was blowing. Cups, plates, seating dirty. When reported to reception lady she did not look interested.
I stayed here for about a week and left with a smile on my face. The staff was very welcoming and helpful.Food was great and they have an amazing Fireplace. Overall I was more than pleased with my stay, only suggestion would be to get Aircon and a small Bar Fridge in the rooms.
Nice place with pool rest errant breakfast in the morning we'll furnished rooms & bathrooms with daily cleaning service
A lovely pitstop for families and tourists. It has a rich history and has a really nice, comfy feel.
Room was recently renovated so quite nice. Beds good and kitchen very well appointed. Only problem is area is not great. It does offer secure parking behind big fence
Beautiful renovations. excellent service
Neat, comortable and very reasoably priced. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. All round a good experience. Well worth the visit
Had the most wonderful experience at Hotel Portao Diaz. The staff are warm, wonderful and incredibly wonderful. Our group required meals at the most awkward times because of our schedule and the hotel was always accommodating. Always willing to meet our demands with a smile. Yolanda, Bronwin, Leonore and the rest of the staff are amazing.
Amazing value for money! Great and friendly staff, very helpful and accommodating.. Couple of minor issues with hotel room but nothing to fret about.
This place is a hidden gem on the Garden Route. Clean rooms with en suite bathroom and secure parking. Close to major shopping centre. Absolutely marvelous breakfast cooked on open fire in the boma! Loved it, highly recommended for travel overnighter or long term stay. Friendly staff.
the stay was exelant...the view fantastic and the reception stuff very helpfull and friendly...exspecially Kim
"Average at best"
The rooms were reasonably spacious and well decorated, and the staff friendly, but that was about it. Location is very very noisy with plenty of Late night commotion in the streets and hooting all night. The renovations made life even more difficult as we couldn't go anywhere in the hotel besides the room. All in all, not worth more than a 2 star rating.
