Reviews for Kedar Heritage Lodge
Friendly and helpful management and staff ...nature at its best preservation...life size heritage human statues n horses...
Although we were received in a friendly and hospitable manner by all staff. Our stay was certainly not a pleasant experience. Poor quality maintenance evident. Food was average, food items often ran out & took a while to replenish. Room 12: Our shower was totally blocked, an unsuccessful attempt was made by maintenance. The shower was also dirty with greasy soap residues on the shower floor and sides with the slate tile sealant pealing off all over. The rooms are NOT AT ALL sound proof to your neighbour. There was a safe but not accessible. We were told afterwards that we had to request the keys for the safe for which there was no notice at reception or in the room to inform us, no info packs in the room, or safety/emergency exit plans. The WORST was that of their room lock system. The keys are that of a standard lock which has the key number on it. If you did not know, with this number any person can purchase a copy from the key department at the hardware shops. This we noticed after we fell victim to theft from our room with us being there not even 24hrs yet. This was before house keeping had even been near any rooms for cleaning. We are still waiting for senior management to contact us. We have taken steps and opened a case with their local police on the premises. Be warned and aware !!
Fantastic weekend rich in culture, heritage and luxury. Amazing staff, great attention to detail. Highly recommended

Food not so good. Bed too soft otherwise fine people friendly
A must for anyone interested in the South African War. Numerous exhibits of memorabilia frm the war. Awesome sculptures in a garden setting. Delicious meals and friendly and helpful staff
What a brilliant idea, a museum and hotel in one. Our two day stay was wonderful, I felt transported back to South Africa in Edwardian times but with the comfort of the 21st century.
Rich in history and heritage. Charming staff. Well managed, maintained and really clean. The food is absolutely delicious and the portions are very generous. They have a wonderful game drive that I really enjoyed and then visited the museum. The guide was super knowledgeable. Very impressed
Best South African History. Physical history. Things that u can touch. Pristine
awesome place, if you don't mind the monkeys on the roof.. bad reception and no Wi-fi makes for an awesome getaway
Good place with a lot of colonialism heritage for the southern African whites ( British, Hollander, etc). Pity they didn't include Africans. It would have been superb.
Wonderful resort. The breakfasts are out of this world. Service is great! Worth every cent.
