Reviews for Khomeesdrif Camping Site
Love that my 4-legged children are welcomed... Always a fun getaway with canoes and swimming and great camp fires.
Fantastic camping facilities & dog friendly a big plus
Amazing place right on the river. The river has a large swimming area where you can canoe or tube in. Camp site is neat and spacious and offers lots of shade. Will go back there!
Lovelly campsite for seasoned campers. Waking up to the scenery of Riviersonderend river and mountains, makes this a stunning venue for your next camping experiance. Owners are friendly and customer focused.
Great camping site. Can get a bit too packed in peak season (December) but the proximity to the river and the natural beauty make it a great place to camp in general. The weather is usually great well up until the end of April, if you're looking to do an off-season trip.
the place was peaceful and stunning. the house was adequate a bit old but very comfy. the owners was really friendly and helpful and always acommodating. was really relaxing and would definitely go bac thank you Rykie.
Campsite nice, owner friendly, to much dogs, can't walk anywhere there is one barking at you, step in dog dopping in under our awing, if you want peace and quiet, stay away, but if your dog rules your life nice place to be.
Super campsite. Owners are friendly and helpful.
"Fantastic campsite "
We will definitely be back.
Good camping for family and dogs. Please note no electricity sites.
"Well situated and the river is a pleasure"
The camp is well situated in that it is not too far from the town, so that residents are not completely isolated. At the same time, it is far e ough away from town to feel remote. The river and canoes are an absolute pleasure and a highlight of the campsite. The bathrooms are well maintained. The biggest problem was the wind. It blows strongly almost 24/7 and this makes the experience frustrating, as one is constantly having things blowing over. We sort of wind barrier is definitely recommended if you stay here.
The dense Black Wattle trees (an extremely invasive, water hungry plant) are a big downside to what would otherwise be a lovely campsite. Khomeesdrif would look so good with natural vegetation.
Fantastic and peaceful. Such a beautiful campsite. Will definitely recommend to all nature lovers. Petfriendly!!
Very friendly owner, clean ablutions, boats and oars for guests to use, well maintained, will go back.
Charged premium rates, no premium services. Site has no office, no security. Sewage coming out through ground at main block, bad stench at second. How municipality allows this site to continue is beyond belief. Contravenes health codes. Dog fecaes throughout campsite, even where children play. Showers do not have constant hot water, if at all, lots of complaints and queues. Lights go out in the middle of the night, toilets usually dirty after hours. Not a good Easter Weekend for us. Owners polite but do not address issues and unapologetic.
