Reviews for King's Lodge Hotel
A nice place with very welcoming people and great hospitality. It somehow felt like home. Pearl, the receptionist is so loving and caring. She is like a mother. I had a great time. I just didn't rate the place a 5 only because it doesn't have white linen and sheets.
Mediocre accommodation. Place is in definite need of a refurbishment as it looks outdated. None of the rooms have showers. Restuarant does not cater for supper unless prearranged even though they present a full menu. Staff are very helpful though and there is a nice bar with an indoor and outdoor entertainment area.
As u drive there it seems like there's no life ahead then suddenly boom it hits u. A slice of heaven in the middle of no where. Nice place with the necessary levels of tranquillity for proper rest if u want an undisturbed vacation or hid-away. All the way from Zambia l spent 4 days of Oct 2018 there with my SA friends.
"waterfalls and the view was excellent "
everything about it we loved it
A home away from home. Staying in the Snowflake chalet we were greeted with friendly staff, a cozy home for our stay and monkeys in the trees. Will definitely be returning!
We spent 3 nights at the hotel at the end of July 2018, to take part in Hogsback`s Winter Celebration. Our room was clean, the bed comfortable; even including electrical blankets - utter bliss after coming in from the cold! After one such night, and expecting to come back fairly late, we even found the fire place in the lounge readily stacked. In no time at all, the cold room was transformed into a cozy and comforting place, and we stayed up longer than intended....We found the staff friendly and attentive, and especially enjoyed our "Christmas" dinner that Saturday night in a beautifully decorated dining room! Thanks again, to all the staff on duty that weekend!
"Warm bedroom and comfy bed which was needed as it snowed!"
DStv not working, WiFi not working.Would suggest a carpet in the lounge area to make for a cosy area with the fireplace and a comfy couch. No atmosphere in hotel itself
Awesome Place..... easy to make friends ! People around starff super friendly...... Travelling with MZANSI BUS...
The place was warm and cosy, and the breakfast was amazing, the staff were friendly and welcoming. No complaints from me.
Oldyworldy charm to this establishment but friendly staff and wonderful grounds make this a truly memorable experience.
Friendly staff.Very peaceful and perfect for people that want to get away from the noise of cities.Facilities has a swimming pool, a bar and a restaurant. Walking distance from other great restaurants and activities.
I recently stayed at King's Lodge for 3 nights with a group of delegates from our institution. The hotel and cottages are lovely and comfortable. The food was delicious and more than any of us could ever finish - there was even special provision made for a vegetarian colleague. The staff are very friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. Management was always available to assist and support no matter how great or small our needs were and were very accommodating. The views are absolutely amazing and the environment is a real treat to work in. Thank you to Steve, Denise and your incredible team for the great service and friendly atmosphere. We hope to return soon.
Lovely accommodation! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable room and the food has been good.
A lovely old world hotel. Only have baths in the rooms hence the mediocre score. The rooms are also a little dated but it fits so well into the Hogsback vibe. Manager and staff are very accommodating and friendly. But the beds and bathrooms could benefit from an upgrade.
