Reviews for La Dolce Vita Guest House
For someone that didn't even stay as a guest in the hotel, I'm actually shocked that I can post such a bad review with so little interaction with the place itself. Booked a Sunday lunch cruise through them. The lady at the front desk doesn't receive the proof of payment = doesn't let us know. When asked to check her emails, her response = What am I supposed to do now? Says she will phone the cruiser company = she doesn't. She was rude, unhelpful and the whole thing very disorganized. How disappointing. Which it was as beautiful inside as the view outside. Pity
The place is nice but over priced. We had to reuse all the towels from the previous day, as we were told that they don't have anymore clean towels and they are washed by some other company outside their premises.
It was shocking not a 4 star rather 1 star. Over priced and false marketing.
"Food, massage, impressed with all of your staff"
You guys are the best, we enjoyed ourselves so much that we will be back soon. We can't fault you in anything, everything was perfect
My experience @La dolce vita was so great more than I expected the staff is so friendly nd welcoming ,their Food is so great ,room clean , the chef has out done themself
This is the worst place I have ever stayed in. The rudeness and arrogance of the owner was beyond compare. Due to fasle advertising this appeared to be worth the excessive rate I had to pay. For that rate I could have stayed in a 5 star hotel .noise and loud conversation from the kitchen staff continued late into the night next to my room . Dirty brown water flowed from the taps making it impossible to bath . my complaints were met with deaf ears as it appeared that the reception staff avoided contact with the owner . he would neither meet with us nor would hear our grievances . an email sent to him listing the conditions we encountered is yet to be replied to . A copy of said email will be forwarded to the tourism board. What should have a happy and pleasant stay turned into a very shocking experience. Lesson learnt! Stay at a hotel instead of a private guest house!!
It was much more than I expected the food was amazing the people friendly , would recommend it to anyone .
Such a wonderful experience with family. This place brings good memories
A very warm and lovely Guest House with a feel of home away from home. You will meet very interactive and welcoming staff.
Wow....What a wonderful experience we had at La dolce vita.....friendly staff, good service, food and the boat cruise were the best things we had.......we will definitely come back.
Needs lots of maintenance. Curtains have wasp nests. Plants growing through bedroom windows. Breakfast starting time (8) is late for those wanting to get on with the day.
Went there for dinner for my boyfriends birthday...compliments to the chef and thank you for accomodating us in such a short notice..Great food i will definitely be backLelo and Jaco
Bit disappointed with this place. Staff were great but the place needs better attention to detail. Sheets were not properly cleaned and having no outside lights in the garden at night is crazy. Could be a nice place with better overall management. Wouldn't recommend staying there if you are a regular 4 or 5 star traveller, you're likely to be disappointed too.
Peaceful and secure venueThe whole building needs some TLC
Wow It seems the people who reviewed this place either totally hated it or loved it. My personal experience here was great. The room was neat and clean, the jacuzzi showed a little wear and tear but nothing to cry about, the view of the dam was amazing. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was good, standard breakfast eggs, bacon, toast, sausages etc its hard to go wrong with that wasn't expecting a gourmet breakfast or anything. I found the boat cruise delightful don't know what other people were expecting on the boat cruise they served alcohol they served snacks they played dance music and you get to look out at the beautiful water and landscape what more do you want. So for its price compared to the other places around it was a great guesthouse good value for money. If you a nitpicking snob then perhaps this place isn't for you. I was on the fence based on the bad reviews of this place but honestly i was not dissapointed.
