Reviews for Meerhof Lodge
Fantastic weekend away, would highly recommend if you're looking for a nice, comfortable place to stay for the weekend in Harties. Clean, pet-friendly, great service from Brave and very calming surroundings.
Super great place, perfect service
FUN is an understatement ,,,we had lots and lots of it.we booked a honeymoon suite for 3 nites frm 21st of September to the 24th and it was worth the price.massages and boat cruising was just bonus.our room was very clean and breakfast was served on time.they were soo helpful and patient with us.will be definitely coming back soon..thank u soo much Ann and Anth
The place is nice..a room for improvement on the breakfast..
Worst place I stayed ever. Linen were suspiciously stained. Headboard so greasy. It made me itch. Breakfast was not served till after nine and had to miss it because my appointment was at 9. Overpriced does not deserve 4 stars. Not even one
A great History Talk delivered in a hospitable venue.
Poor service experience! Definitely not 4star.
The only good thing about this place was that we were able to check in early. We had booked for 3 people but there was only cutlery available for 2. The braai had not been cleaned from the previous occupiers. Decor was way out of date and the pillows terrible. Management allowed a roudy party group continue to make noise until after 1 am in the morning. We left the next morning thus sacrificing a day we had paid for
The reception was fantstic big up to the manager from Zim. Love u mabig..mcwaa
Very beautiful, cosy and lovely place with a secure parking
Breakfast isn't satisfactory at all. We were not given chance to choose what we want to eat and variety was very limited. Jacuzzi was dirty and cold, I told the manager but it nothing was done about it
Beautiful place. I got out of the jacuzzi and slipped and fell. Broke my ribs. Now a week in hospital. Could have been prevented if they used non slip material.
My experience was spent with deep regret. Although friendly staff, the facility is badly managed. Pool and jacuzzi were dirty (on very hot days). The place is beautiful but hygiene is badly managed, very dusty, bathroom towels were not changed. Had to use the same towels for 3 consecutive nights. Eating utensils weren't very clean, the breakfast tasted like it had been in the fridge for weeks. Nice complimentary pool table with broken pool cues. Dogs roaming around. The list goes on... had a great holiday in the area but dreaded coming back to the lodge
We had a wonderful time, just too short.
"It was a great stay."
Our room was over looking the dam and Mike and Wendy absolutely make you feel at home. They out of the way to ensure you have a good time and are very willing to lend what ever you may require for a day on the dam. Highly recommended and I will definitely go back
