Reviews for Menlyn Boutique Hotel
"Will not book again"
On sunday the restaurant was closed, no one told you forehand, since we didn't want to drive at night.Personel was short, carried own suitcase, one who helped, took us around the back past generator. no one to carry our suitcases on Monday morning. tried to cancel already on Sunday afternoon for Monday night and still no one has sorted or even tried. arrived and didn't know I already paid 2 days before, I had to look up on my bank app and show proof. Nothing nice for a 5 star. Dissapointing
Beautiful place to stay close to the mall they should improve on communication with guests
This is a hidden gem. I was blown away by the food. The Chef there takes great care to showcase his culinary skills and take you on a taste adventure. I would recommend the restaurant for intimate lunches and dinners where you want to impress.
The food was great, staff friendly and place is clean. Just that the service is not completely that of a 5star, their porter knocks off at 8pm so we had to carry our own bags because we arrived after 8pm. The bath in the standard room is too small for 2people and the room not a 'wow' compared to other 5stars.
Menlyn Boutique Hotel is worth full five stars in my view. The ambiance is personable, cozy, welcoming and very private, if this is the sort of accommodation you are looking for. Oh yes, the service is also superb and the food delectable, with presentations that wet the palate.Certainly worth a visit.
A gem hidden parallel to the N1 North and opposite the Menlyn Shopping Centre. It is very easy to find if uouvlusten to the directions just after you pass the international hotel school. The Black Bamboo Restaurant is 1 of a kind. The colours of the hotel and restaurant are neutral and wood which is very kind to the eye but eye catching at the same time. It has a calming effect and a very fresh aroma in the air with the spa hidden at the corner as you walk past to the restaurant. My friend and I enjoyed both our main meal and dessert. I had the pork fillet with red cabbage and pickled onion and my friend had the roast duck with mash potatoes. My dessert was panacotta lemon meringue and she had lemon sorbet. The staff is very friendly and warm, from the security at the front gate to the reception area also not forgetting the waiters in the restaurant and the cleaners too. Everyone greets which makes this hotel homely and special. A home away from home. That's how I felt for the few hours I spent with my friend here. She tells me she chose the hotel from the good reviews she read about and she was not disappointed one bit. Keep up the good work and continue to make your guests feel welcome and at home. I could not have asked for any better way than spend my birthday at the black bamboo restaurant with my childhood friend. Thank you
Nice setting but a bit noisy due to insufficient noise proofing. Light pollution in room due to electronic equipment and not so good blinds should be reduced. Small kettle instead of the coffee machine would be appropriate. Staff is friendly and helpful. I am always surprised how these hotels are given their stars!
Great setting, very nice food, good service, very nice conference facilities. Quaint and modern but funky and cosy, definitely worth a visit for the hotel and the restaurant, highly recommended.
We really loved our stay with you! The staff is amazing, the rooms incredible and the restaurant out of this world! Thank you, we will definitely return!
Very tasty food. The homemade bread was yummy. Attentive and obliging staff. Ould go back!
Modern and elegant. Even front he outside you can clearly see that the name is not just a name, but relevant to the experience.Outside areas are clean and open, but private as well. Lovely pool area with a waterfall sensation caused by the waterfeature.Relaxing ambience and atmosphere. Close to the big Menlyn mall and not too far away from Brooklyn Mall. And between those 2 malls, you will find everything you might be looking for.Staff is helpful and professional. Parking is safe and the visible security guard, puts the mind at ease.
they've improved a lot since my last stay. handy mobile with 4g access is a great amenity that made my stay much easier considering the internet coverege in SA
Absolutely amazing stay! From them moment you pass the gate you feel welcome, at ease and at home. We were welcomed with Nespresso coffee. Every single employee is friendly and helpful. The place itself is modern and very stylish. Rooms are spacious and bathrooms are beautiful. All amenities are exceptional. Breakfast is way above the norm. In room Nespresso and minibar is included. The Black Bamboo restaurant speaks of luxury en exclusivity - phenominal dishes. We had a great time and will never ever stay anywhere else while in Pretoria.
Up market hotel, private, with beautiful decor and tastefully decorated rooms. Close to highway, so can be noisy at night, but one of the most stylish hotels in Pretoria. Ideal for photoshoots, business lunches and corporate workshops.
Friendly, helpful staff who don't hover. and superb food. Very comfortable rooms.
Beautiful, creative and super comfortable hotel with very friendly staff. What a pleasure to be here. From the rooms to the pool area and the delicious food at the Black Bamboo restaurant... brilliant. The attention to detail is refreshing and to be surrounded by such beautiful art is glorious. Well done.
Truly amazing accommodation. attention to detail. luxurious rooms. friendly staff. spectacular spa
