Reviews for Oudehout Mountain Lodge
Attention to detail. Something different.
I guess the lack of space and ablutions was due to overbooking on the side of the event organizers. This location could be a lot more scenic and pleasant if the facilities were in proportion to the venue's space, and the road leading to everything was planned with guests in mind.
Was not overly impressed! We were at a party at the picnic area. We could bring in our own food, but had to buy drinks from the bar. R20 for a glass of Coke!! That was really ridiculous.
Great view and excellent staff
Was by the dam lapa. Easy to get to and clean.
Nonnie was very Friendly with reception.
Beautiful view of valley, incredible rock formations and beautiful furnishings in very comfortable lodgings
What an experience, had my daughters wedding at a venue in the area and our family stayed at Oude Hout (Friday afternoon till Sunday morning). Our first encounter was with the owner Jozanne, what a lovely person. We then made final arrangements and the bookings with Louise. She went out of her way to accommodate all of us (we occupied every room / bed available at the lodge). A special thank you to Louise, you are the hart of this lodge and we appreciate every effort you made to make our stay a pleasant experience. Then we met Bennett whom took over and gave us the same service. The people at this lodge was very helpful, friendly but also very professional. The lovely rooms were clean and neat and well serviced. If I had to believe the negative reviews, we would never had discoverer this lovely lodge. Every story has two sides to it, thus my suggestion is to visit Oude Hout and decide for yourself.
Beautiful place, with a very unfriendly experience. We were thrown out at 10am on Sunday morning, to make room for the church service.
"Pet friendly and tranquil "
We were friendly greeted by Benet. He showed us around and made us feel very welcome. We are please with their hospitality and their friendliness towards our pet baby Yorkie, Ayo. Great staff, great and neat accommodation!!!
Bad Service and Customer Relations. Booked two rooms for the night and in the morning there was no water what-so-ever, and they didn't bother to inform the guests nor did they reply to my email when I emailed them about that no water situation. The rooms are clean with nice decor but the no water situation has put me off ever going back or recommending them.
Excellent hospitality, enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere.
