It has a lot of potential. Wine were quite good, but the tasting experience could be improved, with and expansion on notes and influences on the wine from the area. We were there on a rainy day, but it was still beautiful and I do think the experience will be enhanced on a sunny day with an extraordinary view.

The drive off the N2 to this little wine estate is quite pretty. Dont have high expectations its very quaint and when we were there the gate was closed but we called and a very friendly lady opened and was happy to show us around. Nothing too amazing but I will give FIVE STARS for their Sauvignon Blanc! Absolutely delicious wine. You need to book if you want to go for lunch or they will only be able to offer a wine tasting. I can imagine this place to be much better in summer. Not the ideal winter spot as everything is open.

Visited today for wine tasting and cheese platters, both were excellent. Vikki and Ula were great hosts. The accommodation looks great, shame we were passing through could have stayed longer.

We went to Packwood for Breakfast and Bubbels as well as wine tasting. What a wonderful experience. The Eggs Benedict was perfect. They have great wines. A true hidden gem. Friendly staff and a great view! Highly recommended.

Unfortunately our visit wasn't as nice as expected. Wine tasting was extremely brief, done in haste and we felt like we needed to hurry and get it overwith. The wine is nice, but we had to pay full price even though the pinot noir wasn't available for the tasting. Maybe it was just an awkward day, but due to our bad experience I would not recommend.

We visited Packwood on a rainy day and whilst this may have spoilt the views, it took absolutely nothing away from our wine tasting experience - in fact it was lovely and cosy with blankets and heaters provided, nice additions which were very much appreciated! The wines were all very nice (even the red which I'm not usually a fan of) and the cheese platter was absolutely phenomenal; a well presented array of different cheeses accompanied by freshly made bread and salad. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience and had a great time at Packwood!

The location and venue is wonderful however the service, value for money and wine & cheese tasting experience was absolutely awful! The two ladies who served us were clearly uninterested. Our wines were poured one by one and just left there for us to drink. No explanation or tasting experience whatsoever. The cheese platter was truly dismal. The cheddar definitely shop bought, the other 3 were quite average and one really didnt taste good at all! The preserves served were 'cheap' and not of the standard expected for R200 a platter! We have had much cheaper of top quality at other places.Disappointing experience as we were craving a delicious cheese platter for lunch and its quite a drive to the venue (about 3.5km from the main road onto a dirt road). Will not be returning to Packwood unfortunately and do not recommend to others...
