Reviews for Park House Lodge
Great place with friendly staff.
The kitchen needs more appliances and another dinner(table) setting outside and free Wi-Fi is a headache as the signal strength is poor, further more the experience was pleasant enough.
Awesome restaurant. Friendly staff, great food and very cosy atmosphere.
Beautiful place. Very friendly staff. Pet friendly
Easy going manager who's got some good suggestions for around Mossel Bay. Rooms are a decent size and self-catering options are fantastic (spacious kitchen and braai, big fridge and freezer). Options to play tennis at the nearby courts (we unfortunately didn't have the time to do so).
Peaceful, clean and comfortable accommodation. Very friendly people and excellent food. Thank you for the experience of staying over at your establishment.
We arrived on friday evening. It was raining and humid. Coming from Cape Town we were tired from a long drive. We were met by a young friendly german girl. She gave us the password to their wifi. Which we later discovered for the duration of our stay of 2 days didnt work at all. We were told it was the bad weather. Got shown to our room....it had a musky mouldy smell combined with hot humid weather and mosquitos. There is no ventelation in the rooms or bathroom. The bathroom had this disgustingly dirty very loud fan in the ceiling that did nothing when switched on but make a very loud noise. There was black mould on the shower walls. The toilet seat had spider poo on. The towels smelt mouldy and wasnt very clean. The bedding was very very old and had stains on. The curtains also had stains on. We couldnt sleep with the windows open because of mosquitos atacking us. So we had a VERY hot sticky stay awake almost the entire evening in a mouldy smelly room. The next morning we were told there is no filter coffee and a sign up in the really dirty old kitchen that we had to wash our own dishes. I do understand its almost like a back packers....but really this place was the worst experience i have ever had in any accomodation i have ever stayed. Mosselbay had won town of the year for 2017....but this place definetely does NOT fit in with the rest of Mosselbay that is so stunning. I will not recommend Park Lodge House to anybody and really hope the owners realise the magnitude of how dirty this establishment is and does something about it. Regards. Tania
Great value for money. Really good people
Stayed in the air BnB room which had a nice comfy mattress and the ensuite was okay with a nice hot shower.
Very nice backpackers with a great price and friendly staff. Excited to return!
This relaxing place has been perfect for us traveling with a 3 year old boy. Beautiful garden, very child friendly staff and excellent BBQ. Thanx Neil.
"Classical, eclectic style"
My recent stay of 10 nights at Park House Lodge will leave lasting memories of a charming vacation. The informal, eclectic style provided a pleasant place to chill from a year charged with work at a hectic pace. My en suite room was modestly furnished, but sufficient. I spent several evenings hanging out in the shared barbecue area with my pal and new mates from the lodge. The old sandstone building with its Oregon pine floors and door posts was marvellous and complemented by an odd collection of art deco furniture in the TV lounge. The lush gardens presented a tranquil environment. A shared kitchen and a bar ensured an easy pace, free from typical hotel constraints. The place was generally well kept, serviced and appointed.
