Reviews for Paternoster Hotel
Our stay was superb... the welcome was warm and friendly .. made us feel welcome and sorted long before booking in time as we had travelled and arrived early... as we waited we ended up in the • PantiBar• a must for anyone passing .. lol... lots of sizes and other diffrent underwear all over....the Barman was cool and freindly ...then the room very standard and a little smallish ...but clean cosy with tea n coffee and we slept well ..breakfast was skimpish but very nice ano waiting... Thank You Guys ...you All were Amaizing and that will bring us back to stay over again very soon...
Great food and excellent service
Staff was great and food amazing
A good selection of food and drink, and friendly service. Always good for a quick drink or two. Better control over the outside drinking/eating area would help.
Unfriendly staff who are miserable, We were there 2 days ago with a group of 6 people, the doors were open at 7.40am and we asked the bar man for 6 coffees which he said he would organise.... one of the "cleaning staff" said no he is new here and he doesn't understand how things work here!!!! NO coffees will be made until 8am as that is company policy as the kitchen is only open from 8am! We asked 5 min later can they please just make coffees as we have a meeting to attend... not really rocket science to make coffee is it? Not until 8am she said and continued sweeping....What kind of establishment has such an attitude towards it customers... ? Will not be going back there again! POOR Management of all staff!
Paternoster is absolutely a beautiful place to visit. The same was true of the hotel a few year's back, currently however service at the hotel restaurant is nearly non existent. Visitors would be well advised to seek a proper meal else where. I truly hope they lift there game shortly.
Definitely my favorite place forgetting away and spoiling my wife for a weekend. Love Paternoster and the Hotel is the cherry on the cake. Very friendly staff and the service is excellent. Their crayfish dish with wine is a must. The sea view rooms is very nice to sit on the stoep and enjoy the beautiful view.
Great atmosphere. Food great value. Service a bit slow, but well worth the wait.
Good food gpod price old authentic hotel.
Only visited the restaurant. Food was well prepared. Fresh. Large portions and well prized. Service good.
Average rooms. Great food. Some staff need some training
If you have never been to Paternoster, then you have not experience true bliss in this peaceful fisherman`s village. Fresh lobster and other sea products are offered everyday at give away never to be repeated in Cape Town prices. Crime is virtually nonexistent. The town is approximately 15 kilometers from the Vredenburg Business Hive. Come and spoil yourself at one of the few quality restaurants, where each visit promises a different experience
"Comfortable budget accommodation and friendly helpful staff"
We had a comfortable couple of days stay at the Paternoster Hotel with our little one. The staff were helpful and went out of their way - helping with a cot for the little one and to print and scan a document that we needed to send out urgently. Nice and close to the beach. We enjoyed the hearty breakfast and the friendly staff. Would rather recommend one of the rooms outside or at least with a window to the outside passage. A bit difficult if you are planning a self catering stay for other meals - a mini-fridge in the room would make it a whole lot more comfortable.
The Hotel is an excellent place to stay. Very comfortable and the sea view is spectacular.
The food is really good.
Enjoyed the experience very much.
Thank you very much.
