Reviews for Peace of Eden - Nature's Lodge and Vegan Retreat
Amazing place and good people, had a great forest expirience, peace of mind and beautiful view... a place to be, thanks Jena and team.
Beautiful trees. Lovely vege food
Amazing nature location with healthy delicious foods !
A beautiful spot of heaven. Can't wait to return.
These guys are great. Lovely step away from the busy life style. So peaceful here. This place is hidden behind a forrest of trees the owner provided us with accomodation on my last minute request. That is excellent service. The night before i inquired and got a booking. Place was made available and clean. Access to a swimming pond outside and inside fire place. Porch dining area. Cabing sleeps 4. Main bedroom is in the loft with windows all around. Basic essentials are there. Just bring ur own food, maybe movies or a laptop if thats ur thing. This is a real cabing in the woods experience, some wild life in the area aswell. Wifi available.
Its a great area, the garden is beautiful and peaceful, aside from the sounds of regular cars on the road. The forest walk is really awesome. WiFi worked great. Staff were very helpful. The bathroom and kitchen and basically the whole downstairs area of Gwen cottage have a very strong mold smell. Our cottage had a gas heater. They don't seem to weigh the gas cannisters and it ran out after 1 minute in the shower covered in soap. After changing the gas the next shower was hot for half a minute but tricky to find a middle ground between scalding hot and very cold, I accidentally turned the hot tap too low and the flame went out and then it wouldn't ignite after trying about 50 times and changing the batteries in the igniter with some other semi-used batteries (no new ones available). Kitchen Ill equipped.
Absolutely idyllic! So peaceful, beautiful and rejuvenating! We opted for the forest tents, and it's so beautiful to wake up to views of the stunning scenery and birds chirping. Such wonderful and friendly people and the food is amazing! Definitely all round awesome experience, especially if you're looking for a totally blissful break.
Stayed for one night and had no sleep at all. There was a bee hive right above my head that kept buzzing all night long. The main road is close by and there is a continuous sound of traffic. The pillows were really awful too. There is a nice walk in a forest. We were booked to stay in the double story cottage but downgraded to the smaller one as we were travelling with our dogs but we were still charged for the larger cottage. As a vegan place I would have expected the kitchen to be better equipped to prepare veggie food , no colander, no veg knife. The shower was also terrible, I didn't have one as the water never got warm enough as the spout was so high. I didn't want to waste the water either as there is a drought. I won't stay there again there are much nicer places for R850 per night.
Awesome place..huge forest to explore and vegan strictly. loads of spiders from rainspiders, kite spiders, wolf spiders :D which are my favourite haha.
Loved it! Very beautiful and peaceful place
Hidden gem, everything about this place is just magical. And the food was equisite, never thought we would have a fine dining experience like this. Jen and Howard was such wonderful hosts. Would recommend this to anybody!
WE had a fantastic night there!Everyone was so helpful and friendly!Fab local advice! And quaint cottages with everything you need!
"Thank you for everything. "
We really enjoyed our stay at Peace of Eden. I have raved to my colleagues here at work, friends and family about how wonderful our stay there was! Very peaceful, serene, exactly what I was hoping for! (and needed) It is definitely value for money and I if I decide to come back again, it will definitely be to Peace of Eden again.
