Reviews for Pine Lodge Resort
Went out to visit restaurant. Nothing there and the place was in shambles. Not sure what is going on and it seemed as if the staff were also not sure?
Comfortable chalets. 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. Self catering. Clean and tidy. Daily room service. Security available. Great conference venue. Good food. Restaurant on the premises. Right on the oceanside. Lovely beach walks. Situated in Summerstrand. Close to shops and other recreational places
A warm place to visit. Self catering but there's a restuarant on site as well as activities for the whole family
Its a really nice place. They have a nice pool for summer, ocean view on the other side while enjoying a drink> too windy sometimes. They also have big halls you can use as conference rooms
It was great. The view is amazing and it was clean. The space was a bit limited for the price we paid but we were satisfied with it for just one night.
Priced high I would say.It is really an amazing place, especially when looking for simplicity.
OH WOW...Although I came here at night, this place showed me flames. Beautiful scenery here which will make you forget that you're in a city...it feels like you're more in touch with mother nature. Land, sea and sky...wow, I could perfectly see the milky way and the stars. Winter is really freezing though on some nights.
Just dropped into Ziggi's Pub to check the place out as a number of people told us that it was great. We were very impressed and, whilst we had just eaten elsewhere, we ordered off the tapas menu. The service, was excellent and the sea view spectacular. The food was very enjoyable and they have a good selection of draft beer whilst my wife was happy with the wine list. We will definitely be back.
Very beautiful view. There was a wedding the time we got there and hall was beautifully decorated. If you desire, you can have lunch there. I had a massage at the spa and it was worth every penny. The ladies there are really nice.
My family and I enjoyed our staying tremendously. It is our first time staying in the Eastern Cape. Atmosphere is positive and relaxing. We will be back soon
Very well run resort, camping and restaurant. Ziggys restaurant is a great little pub type eatery. Food and beer are good. Resort has swimming pools and play areas for kids. Close the beach.
Very beautiful resort. Very tranquil, you can write and finish a novel in that environment. Really enjoyed the food and the service. People are so friendly and helpful.
Stayed there in December with my family and it is quite a nice place. The outdoor environment is beautiful, but the rooms could do with better beds, linen and bathrooms. The room that my parents were staying in didn't even have a proper closet, as I assume that there were renovations being done, which I found unprofessional as they could have clarified before hand. Otherwise, I would visit the place again to try out their outdoor activities and their spa, as I found the prices pretty reasonable.
Whilst the venue boasts good accommodation and facilities it lacks the customer service and comfort. With cheap bedding and glorified wendy houses this place is more a backpackers dream than a 3 star comfy stay. With features such as being close to nature you'd find yourself trying to defend your deck lunch against a bunch of monkeys. The venue is situated next to the beach but there is no place to swim due to the rocks, which also has an accompanying foul smell. To top it off, your visitors would be forced to park outside while paying for entrance of R55 just to see you. All in all the entertainment they offer does not make up for the lacklustre service they offer.
"Great stay - too sort!"
Our stay was very pleasant and the kids had plenty to do. Everyone was exeptionally kind. The Island restaurant's food is to die for.
My family and I were extremely satisfied with the service, upkeep and improvements made to the resort since our last visit some years ago. Thank you for great value for money. The caravan sites are well sheltered from wind which one would severely feel the effects of if they had been nearer to the beach. The clean ablutions are certainly an attraction.
