Reviews for Rametsi Eco Game Farm
Nice, just alot of thorns
Wildlife farm with true beauty to the Groot Mariko Bushvebld.
Very neat and clean, i would recommend it for one willing to visit nearby areas around Lindleysproot
We had initially booked through lekkerslaap , but the booking expired. We contacted the lodge directly and spoke to Sienie . She said we could book directly through her and that we could pay the deposit and she would secure the booking. We never got an email confirmation or sms with banking details to book. We constantly followed up. Eventually 3 days prior the date we wanted to go we called again and asked for banking details . It was sent via sms. We paid and again no sms or email confirming our booking. A day before we left we called her and she said we are booked and we could come. On arrival the place looked run down and the room she booked us in looked nothing like the pictures on the website. We queried this as we felt for the amount we paid upfront ( R3000.00 for 3 nights) we felt we were ripped off . I asked sienie for another room and mentioned the room was disgusting and nothing like we saw online ( cupboards ripped, old coach no Windows in room , dirty bedding, the place needed a paint ...etc) I was rather annoyed at her responses: 1.The website is form 2004 and has not been updated in years 2.I asked why we never received a formal notification on our booking not even a map with a email confirmation of our booking She answered that they struggled with connectivity . On that I was rather annoyed I told her that her lodge is on Lekker slap and you cannot run a lodge like this. She blankly replied that "she only works there" foolish of me to think she really cared of what I , a paying guest thought. Nevertheless we were shown to another room , a round thatch rondavel (A blocks) these were better but by then I was already put off. We stayed less one day of our original booking. The route to the dam is scenic and we saw some wild which was lovely ( giraffe , buck ) however the dam had no facilities so to go to the bathrooms you need to drive an hour back to the chalets ( I wouldn't call them that at all. )Do not stay here at this place ever
Really disappointed, not like the pictures advertised, when we arrived we had to ask for another room because the one we were given was so disgusting. When asked about the advertised pictures and the room, the reception told us the pictures where almost 10 years old. We left a day earlier because we couldn't stay there another night.
Great place to spend occasions
Amazing wildlife. Since the new management, quality has improved overall, with decent amenities, and wonderful routes to explore. With no large predators, it is fairly safe to go for a walk among the animals, of which there is plenty, as well the short route to the Waterfall. The dam allows for fishing, and swimming. A must visit in the area
Nature at its best, the view and animals is WOW!
Awesome dam and great challanging 4x4 routes with great views of the area...waterfall and stream make for a great hike trail.
Great place to visit for a peaceful gateway... Friendly stuff...Surely I'm going back again in rainy season just to see the waterfall... Thank u guys
"What a lovely stay"
Had a blast. Truly a nice get away.
"Relaxing environment tainted by rowdy campers"
Management is friendly (thank you Willie) and helpful. Amenities are basic but in good working order. Lovely bushveld atmosphere, however, other campers tend not to adhere to big signs asking them to please keep the noise down (music, loud conversations, etc), which removed our experience from great to good. Every night the jackals called beutifully, but we could hardly hear them.
