Reviews for Riebeek Valley Hotel
Cozy and historic. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful birdlife, picturesque setting. Lovely farmstyle dishes, prepared fresh when ordered. Very affordable. Also loved the in-house pets.
There is much beauty to be found in antiques. It has it's own appeal to the senses. Friendly staff. Good food. Loved Sage, the dog. Bird in cage is beautiful but needs a friend.
Staying in this hotel, is like walking straight into an Edwardian dream. Beautifully furnished hotel, lovely room, friendly staff, beautiful surroundings, the best of the Swartland. The most enjoyable break I have EVER had, without a doubt. Will be back.
It was a very nice experience at the Riebeek Valley Hotel. Me and girlfriend celebrated our 3 year anniversary and could not ask for a better place to spend the day/night. Very vintage and unique. Very professional and friendly staff.Recommend this to any couples looking for a quite but romantic break away.Thank you to the staff and management of Riebeek Valley Hotel for the amazing experience. Will definitely visit again!
We found this hotel through Daddy's Deals a couple of years ago really enjoyed our multiple visits. The rooms are all unique and full of character, but could use a bit of upkeep. The organic pool is very fun, but if you have children one must be careful as it is not fenced and on the pathway to the way to the rooms. We absolutely love Ray-Jo at reception - super accommodating and really friendly. Not delighted with previous management or current owners - found them unapproachable lackadaisical in attitude.
Charming and quiet. Minus 1 star for rooms that need a bit of an upgrade. Clean and friendly staff
Very pretty building and garden. Good breakfast. Good service. Interior and building need some work though.. sure it will be fixed in time.
Lovely quaint historical hotel. Beautiful gardens and surrounding views. Great service, good food and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Despite the rooms being a bit dated they were clean and spacious. Overall: great value for money and one night stays gives you the feeling of long peaceful weekend away.
We stayed overnight at this beautiful venue recently to celebrate a special occasion and we were treated royally. We were accommodated in the bridal suite, which made us feel very special. We enjoyed a delicious dinner as well as breakfast the following morning, served by friendly, attentive staff, before setting off to explore the interesting surroundings. We highly recommend this venue. It exceeded our expectations and is certainly worth a return visit!
A premium venue for weddings, conference and accommodations with on suite rooms and safe parking. They also have a organic pool as well as an indoor swimming pool.. Very nice place
Nice room. Quiet and peaceful. Best ribs ever!
Such a wonderful vintage hotel with rich history. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Food is delicious at the restaurant. The hall is perfect for any type of function and also a beautiful wedding venue.
Simply love this location...true country hospitality, complete with Sage the hotel's dog :) The hotel needs just a touch of TLC though. In terms of menu, the pork belly ribs are delicious - very, very meaty. Definitely going back
Johan has done a great job breathing life back into this once-moribund establishment. We love to go there for a special lunch on festive occasions but as we live locally we have never stayed there. Fish and chips on a Friday has traditionally been a favourite here. Check it out if you are in the area. It's great to sit outside on a sunny day (of which there are many in this area!).
"2 day stay"
Riebeek Valley Hotel was superior to any other like priced accom. I experienced during a recent 26 day cross country tour with a foreign guest. I am a tour guide and I would recommend this institution to anybody without hesitation
"Best kept secret!"
Uiters aangename en vervrissende verrassing! Hartlike, professionele en hulpvaardige personeel. Smaaklike ontbyt. Baie ruimte in pragige en heerlike ambiance. Een uur se reis vanuit Kaapstad. Veilig! Terapeuties. Gaan definitief weer. Groot dankie.
