Reviews for Sabi Star Chalets
Mud road that scrapped the bottom of my car. I can understand rustic. But cannot understand the patio furniture or uncomfortable wicker chairs which are grungy to the touch. Apparently they have started renovating so hopefully some effort is put in. Definitely not luxury.
It is gorgeous with the surrounding nature. Relaxing
Nice and quiet place. Nestled in the woods. All you can hear is the birds and the stream. Good, friendly staff.
A thousand apologies, must have been my toddler pressing by mistake. You are right we have not stayed there yet but are booked for 5 nights in december. The service we have received via telephone for our booking has however been professional and homely. We look forward to our stay with you. Am sure to rate and share photos of our stay. Thanks
I am disappointed that the owners 2 Great Danes ruined my 4 day holiday. I was so excited to visit however on arrival the Owners Dogs jumped up onto my car and tried to attack my dogs through the window putting my baby in grave danger who was sitting on the front seat. The following morning the Great Danes knocked me flat on my back whilst running at me with speed, they then savagely mauled my beagle who needed Veterinary attention afterwards. The owners remarks were exactly as I expected, complete disregard and very offending. I never got an apology but neither expected one. Yes my beagle may bark at the wind from time to time but are very friendly and social animals, they did not deserve to be attacked by 2 very vicious Great Danes who seem to be hunting in a pack. It seems that neither Sharon nor Shawne apprehends the seriousness of this incident and I can only hope that they take head and either remove the dogs from the property or advertise as a Non Child / Dog friendly establishment. I am unnerved and disheartened by the experience and WILL NEVER RETURN. I can only warn other pet owners to not even think of taking their animals or their children to Sabie Star Chalets it is not worth the anxiety. The owners did lock the dogs up at times but just seemed like it was an aggravation to them each time I requested it. The stay in the cottages was adequate, a bit like going back to the prior century though. They are old and cold, our cottage was joined that you could hear your neighbors every word and my pensioner mom slept on a bunk bed with the adjoining wall to her ear. The kitchen is small and the cooker/oven is slapped on the countertop just high enough to splatter your bacon fat into your eyes, but all said we were comfortable enough for a short stay. Not much going on in Sabie Town and the road to Hazyview are potholed beyond belief which is so sad to see the degradation in the area.
Beautiful setting. The chalets are rustic, comfortable and kept spotlessly clean. Great place.
Wonderful place to hide away, fantastic for the kids. Superb garden, with the burbling river running through. My only small negative comment would be the very thin wall between cottages... But it's a minor gripe and we would stay here anytime and Everytime. Thanks Sean and Sharon.
Great venue to weekend in... Close to Sabie and the restaurants, well equipped kitchen, ask for an oven! And good braai area with plenty of wood. Get your shower / bathing in early as the hot water can run out.... :-(.. Just down the road (50km) from Phabeni Gate into KNP. Helpful, welcoming, friendly staff. A great time here. Thanks.
Awesome stay - suitable for weekend stay and self catering. Great hosts that cater for bikers that travel with minimum.
Lovely affordable accommodations, beautiful views, great hospitality.
Beautiful place with a great hospitality..Oh! I love Misty
Great place to wind down from the hustle and bustle of city living
Lovely garden. Refreshing nice rooms and a very friendly host
Affordable accommodation, conveniently outside town but still close enough. The sound of the flowing river in the morning is refreshing and it's also near a variety of tourist attractions.
It is very nice. It only missed a TV in the chalet for those rainy days.
I was satisfied with my stay at the lodge. The management was very helpful. We did not have an opportunity to use all the facilities due to inclement weather.
