Reviews for Saxenburg Winery Apartments
Thirteen of us visited the Cattle Baron at Saxenburg for my mother's 85th birthday. We were welcomed by friendly staff and the tables looked lovely. Even though there were many of us and the restaurant was rather busy, our food arrived relatively soon. The food looked appetising and was really tasty. Their dishes are mid-range - not cheap, but not too expensive either. We had an efficient and friendly waiter. We all loved the spacious restaurant and the children enjoyed the garden. The Saxenburg wines are the only wines on the menu and they are quite pricy for a big group. Someone in our group suggested we pay the corkage fee and take our own wine next time. That being said, the Saxenburg wine was excellent! The view of Table Mountain and Cape Town from the lovely garden is really spectacular. Book in advance to ensure a good experience!
It was good! The sauce of the lamb shank was very salty and there was a pesky fly bothering us even though the waiter lighted a lamp, . All else was great! Lovely view and atmosphere. The waiter is an extremely excellent, energetic, vibrant, helpful and delightful person. His name is something like...Jean/Juan Claude. His joyful yet respectful attitude contributed towards making our visit ENJOYABLE. God bless.
Wow The view is great. A must for summer. Good food
Amazing view, great location and really good food. Staff are trained really well and are super friendly and extremely helpful. The price on the food is a little high but the quality is worth it. Managers are really accommodating and helpful.
Very friendly and good service. The restaurant is beautiful and very cosy. The food is also very well presented, and everything was tasty, fresh, and the way it was ordered. Definitely worth going back to again.
Friendly service and real tasty food. Nice fire toe warm you on cold nights and real relaxing back ground music. Beautiful view of Cape Town.
Lovely romantic ambience. Beautiful big fire place. Well kept and need Garde. Fairy lights wrapper around the trees, makes the venue even prettier. Food exceeded our expectations and service good.
Perfection, Stylish, Great Ambiance, % Service, Knowledgeable waitrons, Good Food and drinks. Since 2016 I've frequented this venue 7 times in all. In all these times I've experienced the above-mentioned. Well done to this group of dedicated people.
Excellent service, great food, lovely atmosphere. Thank you for the effort the staff puts in to make every visit special. Much appreciated.
Restaurant with a lovely view. You should probably book for peak times if you would like a spot on the balcony/ near the window although you can still appreciate the view from further back.
Excellent service and the food is well priced and tastefully prepared. You really get value for your money. The waiters are always friendly and you dont wait very long for you food even when they are busy. Will always go back there.
Great location with beautiful views. Caters for small and large groups. Staff friendly and professional. Good service and nice range of excellent quality and fairly priced meal options .
Love the staff! Very accommodating with my disabled daughter although there is no wheel chair entry so they help me lift her chair. Food is good! Atmosphere is warm. Stunning view
