Reviews for Serendipity Wilderness
Cosy guesthouse with view over the lake and a fantastic fine dining restaurant. We loved the local & personal touch of this restaurant - starting off with apperitif drinks that all had a local twist such as gin from Stillbaai or Serendipity brewed beer. Then the chef Lizelle personally took us through the entire menu which brought it to life. We love that Lizelle uses local ingredients and keeps the focus on South African cuisine. The rest of the evening we had an excellent waiter, Emilio. His passionate & detailed explanations of the different dishes and wines made our evening complete. He could easily have been a sommelier at any Michelin star restaurant in Europe.
Wonderful atmosphere, amazing food, a definite must do.
A very classy bespoke menu.
An absolute must experience, the food was fantastic, service excellent and the ambience was great. Most definitely will recommend to my friends and guests.
Absolutely fabulous. The view and the personal and the food are just perfect... THE place to eat....
Lovely experience. Very caring hosts. Would have been better to stay longer. Billeted here for a stop over on the Garden Route. Did not do justice to the culinary experience on offer. A must for gastronomic fanatics. Happy cooking
What an amazing culinary experience. The Wine pairing was just perfect.
A lovely restaurant in a splendid and peaceful location! The food was superb - thoughtfully created dishes, beautifully presented and served with a warm smile (often by the chef herself!). The wine pairing was excellent and complimented our food choices perfectly. Ingredients used in the preparation of food are seasonal and sourced locally. I can highly recommend this restaurant to fellow lovers of excellent food!
What an amazing experience. The wine pairing is an absolute must and the food was spectacular. The overall experience was one we'll never forget!
Nice place near the lake. good food but I expected a step further
Was awesome food. The atmosphere is very relaxed even if the setting is not. As with the food it is all well balanced. Don't dress too fancy but leave the jeans at home. Be open to the food combination and wine suggestions and i think you would be in for a treat.
