Located in town. No view but lovely old building and fantastic food and hospitality. Decor in rooms is a bit dated.

10 of us descended on Terry,Jaco,Cheryl and Sue on my wife's 50th birthday. A marvelous braai was provided by Terry and cooked by Jaco. What a wonderful gesture from an old friend whom I had not seen for over 50 years. The B and B was of exceptional quality and the service and attention given to us all was second to none.Terry took us around to show us some sights we would have otherwise missed. The area provides exciting and breathtaking viewing not too far away.We spent 3 days with the team and during our 3 week holiday in SA, was a highlight never to be forgotten. The food provided was wonderful and Jaco kept all of us entertained royally.Needless to say,. we look forward to our next visit and is definitely a place we will stay.Thank you Shamrock.

This place is a hidden gem in a place you'd never expect! You arrive as a guest, you leave as a friend.Upon arrival, we were met by Jaco, the extremely friendly chef. Now, I expected this to only be a place to sleep while we explored the surrounding area's ancient stone ruins. I was surprised by the delicious, tasty and beautifully prepared meals Jaco whipped up. I always thought The Camps Bay Retreat prepared the best rare/medium rare steaks, but Jaco surpasses even this high bar! Do ask him for his French onion soup(with wine). The rooms have the old South African mid 80's feel to it, which is quite refreshing. The place is steeped in history and some famous guests. Jaco, Sue and Terry also doubled as really knowledgeable tour guides who went out their way to ensure my family and I soaked up enough of the beauty and adventure the magnificently beautiful province as we could in our short stay, including horse trails and a spontaneous tour to the nearby ancient stone circle ruins with Jaco guiding the way!As I mentioned above, I arrived as a guest, but left with friends!THIS PLACE IS A MUST!!!!!!!!!! PS. Jaco, thank you for arranging to have my copy of Slave Species Of god signed by Michael!
