Sterland Skrywershuisie & Annex is ideal for four to six people travelling together. The cottage can be rented on a self-catering basis.
The cottage has two bedrooms with a shared a bathroom. The bedrooms share a cosy lounge with a TV, Selected DStv and indoor fireplace - perfect for the cold winter months. Breakfast can be enjoyed at a number of restaurants within walking distance of the guesthouse. Skrywershuisie Annex is a small, comfortable room which is ideal for a one night sleepover or extra room for a group joining the other guests at Skrywershuisie.
The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and facilities include a fridge, a microwave, a two-plate stove and tea and coffee-making facilities.
Sutherland is a beautiful, quiet area in the middle of the Karoo and is best known as the site for the South African Large Telescope (SALT). An observatory tour is a must, as well as a private stargazing session right outside town. We run six telescopes and do a show every night at STERLAND just one km out of town where we enjoy open skies. Booking is essential. Always dress warm in winter...
