Reviews for The Anker
We had a great overnight stay here.
Good place and so clean. Always available for everyone to accomodate.
Friendly, tastefully decorated. Within the walking distance of local shops and restaurants. The heating blankets were so deliciously warm. Well priced. Took me a moment to find.. the signage could be improved.
Clean, comfortable. Well equipped. Reasonable
Nice quiet place to stay.
This was a really convenient stop off on the way to wilderness. I saw this place described as rustic and non-tech friendly. There is cell signal here. There is no wifi or TV so you can brush up on your conversation skills. The lodge on the main road serves good value food with meat prepared to your taste. The lodge bookings can be handled by die anker. Also if you need a few essentials there is a pep store round the corner. The beds are comfortable and they have ceiling fans in all the rooms. The road in front of die anker is a dirt road but is really well maintained. They also have a "cool garden" which has seating under vines. They also have the two biggest pear trees in the southern hemisphere on the premises.
Very affordable and spacious.
Lovely and friendly. Clean and near. Great bed and peaceful. Great friendly service. Well done!
Wonderful people and great place to stay
Our experience here was pleasant. Elaine (the host) was very welcoming and friendly. It looked like there were no bookings other than ours so we were given a choice between two different rooms. The guesthouse is an ideal stopover and has everything you'd need for the night. Cons: The bathroom didn't have any toilet paper so we had to get our own. The rooms and beds were a quite dusty but I think it's due to them not getting frequent bookings. We booked a room with 3 beds and the 1 bed was unusable - every spring could be felt and you'd sink when sitting or lying on it, fortunately we were only 2 people so this wasn't a big issue.
