Reviews for The Farm
This is a very nice restaurant where you can enjoy very nice and tasteful food. The service is excellent but the preparation of the food takes a little longer but its worth the wait. The owner comes and welcomes each group of people personally and also explains the specials and unique food on the menu. The atmosphere is very relaxed and they make you feel at home.
This place is so beautiful and locate between mountains and very close to the Haartbeestpoort Dam. The food is delicious and the staff is superb. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are also clean and it is self catering but there is a superb restaurant as well.
Lovely experiece!! World class food! Will recommend 100% ! Owner and staff very welcoming and loving.
The service is bad. Restaurant is non functional at 11h00. The place has minimal lights and no lights in the toilet area. No WiFi connect for weekend.. Road to accommodation no existing.. Small dogs on the premises so you have to check the whole time when driving.. Not going back soon... ps.. no mirror in the place.. I would not recommend this place
The client was not in the Restaurant at any time, only her partner came down at 11:00 on Saturday very quickly, but did not request any service. Is it untrue that we were not functioning.
The LUVUT has romantic, dimmable lights, as it's a ZULU hut interpretation. It's untrue that in the toilet area there would be no light. The client also switched off the lights outside by herself and this lights up the whole area very nicely.
It is untrue that we did not offer WI FI, even its not advertised for the LUVUT, as the client was able to watch Rugby Saturday afternoon at the pool area. There was also Internet connection in the LUVUT, but via a cable, it was only the router that had mal functioned and had to be disconnected.
It is untrue that there is no road up to the accommodation, we just don't allow cars to drive up there, as it's disturbing the views and creates noise and smog for others. Its also because of safety, as the parking is monitored by CCV cameras and motion detectors.
The client got a mirror immediatly after requested by her partner. Again the LUVUT is a ZULU hut interpretaion where everything is down to basics. We do of course always react to our wishes of our clients without any hesitation and so it's untrue that the client did not have a mirror.
The small dogs are Puppies, sorry about that we have Puppies, we should not have them, but Jessi my guard dog was naughty and just managed to become a mama before we could fix her.
Reviews like the one above saddens me, as we are very dedicated to what do, which can be seen in many other reviews about us. The motive for this bad rating can only be assumed, as the client did not indicate any unhappiness during their stay, opposite actually is true, as we got thumbs up when asked if everything was fine several times when we were asking.
Went for lunch at this charming place and was treated to the most exquisite sea food I have had this year, from the fresh wild oysters to the yummy mussel pot. Quite delectable! The owner and staff were attentive and friendly, just a wonderful experience!!
The rustic feel and atmosphere of the place is amazing. And that is the only good thing that I can say about the place. The service was slower than any other place I have been to. The food was surprisingly bad, and really not worth the price. Overall I will not be going back there which is unfortunate as i really really liked the whole idea and atmosphere of the place.
Great stay. Spacious. Brilliant food
A very relaxed venue with great food and hiking trails. Amazing views too. Love visiting when passing with some time in hand.
Owner Mike is one awesome host.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.The stay in Luvut absolutely worth every penny
Arrived at 9:15, did the 4km hiking trail up the mountain and around. Definitely not for sissies but an incredible experience non the less. Had a German beer and an amazing pizza.
Very nice place. Great beer and it is definitely worth stopping. The pizza is also to die for and it is a nice atmosphere. There are some 4x4 trails close by as well so make a turn.
Upon our arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff and seated. We planned on just having a beer so they suggested the imported German beer. They also suggested their fresh oysters, which they prepared for us. The oysters was amazing, the beer was lovely and the atmosphere was peaceful and beautiful! Highly recommend for a Sunday outing!
Nice setting but the service is slow and the food wasn't very good. Pizza base had too much flour. I had a Bavarian platter which was dry over all and not very tasty
If you want to relax n have ur own me time...this is your place
Awesome seafood bisque and delicious pork belly. Weiss beer on tap.
We stopped for a look-see and walked away fans. Almost everything is hand made and organic. The host Mike is an enchanted human person with great stories and lovely wisdom. The Gnocchi started was delicious and the home made Ice-Tea, a real winner. The perfect slow eating experience
A lovely restaurant with a pleasant outdoor seating area. Great Weiss beer on tap and tasty menu. If you have the energy, check out their hiking trail to the top of the hill with stunning views of the lake.
