Reviews for The Post House
Spent 5 or 6 weekends here over the last 10 years. Consistently good quality and service. Cozy bar and good restaurant. Lovely hotel to chill for the weekend. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended
We stayed at the Post House for two nights and could easily stayed there for a week. The whole place was recently renovated and under new ownership. The Post House shines with a fresh and vibrant look, yet respecting the heritage of the historic building. The garden bursts with an array of indigenous flowers and roses. Each room is a little lap of luxury. The bar has a legendary charm. The breakfast is the best you'll find in town and the coffee served at the little shop can stand up to any hipster coffee shop in Cape Town. The staff is super friendly and on top of all the small things that turn a nice stay into an unforgettable one.
A fantastic hotel. Lovely rooms and serves great coffee in their coffee pod. The bar is amazing!!
One of the nicest pub bars in the westtn cape. old school. great beers on draft. lots of whiskies. bar food and restaurant can also be worth a visit.
I didn't stay at the Post House Hotel so I can't rate that. But the coffee space and restaurant are quite nice. The strawberry smoothie was yummy! Thought a bit on the pricey side, the restaurant has a very quaint look to it and the owner and staff are very friendly. I'm only giving 3 stars because I was a bit disappointed with the menu given the limited food options and small drink list. But to be fair, the Post House is under new management and they have only been in business for a little over a month now. I would definitely check it out again should I go that side..
Getting New owners
Great place to stay with a one of a kind feel, the staff make you feel truly at home.
Lovely situation, historic building in heart of village with rooms around a grassy courtyard. Great pub frequented by locals but not noisy.
Lovely spot in the village center to have a drink and watch the town's activities.
Lovely country setting. Lots of little things to spoil you, like complimentary tea with chocolate mud cake and savoury scones. Lovely breakfast.
Great hospitality. Nothing is too much trouble for their staff. Lovely breakfasts and great rooms. Amazing!
Spent a delightful three days there and received nothing but courtesy and friendliness from everyone. The room was good and the food excellent.
I stayed for a yoga festival in Greyton and it was such a wonderful environment. So beautiful and peaceful and everyone at the Post House was very friendly and helpful.Thank you for a wonderful stay.
