Highly recommend Botlierskop. My husband and I had our 10 year anniversary and his birthday celebrated at the reserve. Thank you to all the staff that put so much thought and special details to our stay. We will definitely come again.

Absolutely a fabulous place for a weekend away, My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and was very impressed with the efficiency of all the staff. Each and every person went the extra mile to be helpful and hospitable. We had a wonderful game drive which was well informative and I managed to capture some great photo's of Lions which I will post. The evening meal was very tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed.

What a wonderful place! The main lodge is very nice with a wonderful terrace where you can eat / drink and enjoy the views. The luxury tented accommodation was just that! The turndown service ensured we returned from dinner to a warm room and bed, with the electric blanket already put on for us. My steak at lunch was fantastic. Lastly, the game drives were wonderful - seeing the animals, having a knowledgeable guide, the drinks stop and even hot water bottles for the cold, early morning game drive. We would love to go again.

This is a very private game reserve and a great stop on the way to (or from) the Garden Route. Lots of rhinos around. Also saw a group of giraffes, zebras and lots of other animals. The landscape itself is worth a visit and our guides were super friendly. I would say that 2-3 hours are about the perfect to spend there if you're driving through.

I did both the horseback safari and the game drive. I came to Botlierskop from Cape Town because of their great deals on horseback safaris, and I am BEYOND impressed with the experience. Wilmarie and Jerome were the most courteous and accommodating guides, and the horses are some of the most well-trained I have ever had the privilege of riding! I originally booked a 2 hour ride, but asked to extend to 3 hours because I was having so much fun! Highly recommend the horseback safari for anyone, but especially for experienced riders as you often get a private safari. Because of the horses, you are unable to view lions, but you can view everything else. If you are looking for a more close-up look at the animals, the game drive is much better for this. Our guide worked very hard to ensure that the guests were able to get up close to all the animals, was very funny, and had a wealth of knowledge about every animal. 10/10 would recommend the horseback safari and game drive at Botlierskop! Also, the staff was very helpful and friendly and remembered me when I returned the following morning for my game drive. Overall, everything is a great value for the cost, and Botlierskop clearly cares for their animals, staff, and guests.

We had a fantastic time. The accommodations were wonderful. We stayed in the deluxe tents and liked being close to the lodge. The staff was very friendly. Food was excellent. Silas took us on our Safari and we were impressed by his knowledge of and passion for the animals. My family really enjoyed our stay and wished we had planned for more days.

What an amazing experience! The accommodation is top notch, the facilities excellent and the food was awesome. BUT the absolute best part of the experience is the level of professionalism of the staff. They truly go out of their way to make you feel at home. And they are extremely friendly. A rarity these days! Well done.

Exceeded my expectations. The staff are friendly and welcoming making you feel like family. They are always one step ahead. The decor and design of the tents and the main lodge are top notch. Absolutely beautifully done. Food is incredible. One of the best game lodges I've been to for the price. I couldn't recommend it more.

Beautiful place with free roaming animals and great people. We had a bush villa - which are decorated very lovely and are a great place to stay as a family -and had our own bbq every evening. The game drives were interesting and johann did an amazing job finding 4 of the Big 5. The big 80% if you so want :D. Anyways it was a great experience and we would come here again. A downside is the prohibition of drones for private usage, however, the argument that poachers could hack them to know where the rhinos are is mostly understandable. Besides, it was a fun time.

Lovely setting and wonderful staff. If you wanting to see wild animals and haven't the time to spend days in a game reserve, this is the next best thing. You can go on a three hour game drive and see a wide range of African wildlife with a qualified ranger. They also habe a fabulous Restaurant as well

Beautiful safari reserve - a bit pricey but definitely worth a visit. Dinner food quality was significantly below expectations on both nights we stayed (particularly considering the cost of stay). Breakfast was of good quality.
