Reviews for Urban Chic Boutique Hotel
Amazing meal deals and really worth the prices even off the deal. The staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely would recommend, however i have not slept there and given that it's on long street i can only assume it would be very noisy so bring some ear plugs along if you plan to spend the night sleeping..
Beautiful hotel perfect place to stay at for the night life amazing beds amazing view
Worst hotel visit ever! I;m writing this review sitting in my room wishing I was anywhere rather than this hole of a hotel. I arrived yesterday, and the door lock to the room that I had booked with a king size bed was broken so the lady on duty offered me a twin bed room which is possibly the worst room in the entire hotel. It is situated next to a balcony to a popular bar on long street, where the music blasts until about 3am. She assured me that the lock would be fixed by the next day (today) and I can move to my booked room on the other side of the building. I arrived back from business today to be told that the room had been given away, and that I'm stuck in this room. I cannot be moved. I told them I refuse to stay here and that I want a refund for my remaining days, and I'm going to find accommodation elsewhere, and the person on duty tells me that they do not 'do refunds.' He handed me ear plugs and said that this was the best he could do. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL
It's on long street so expect noise from the clubs, particularly stones right next door. Other then the music till 3am the place is nice, clean, good breakfast, lovely staff.
Friendly staff, nice rooms and safe although hard to maneuver parking and less than satisfactory Wi-Fi, a nice inclusion is ear plugs for the noise accompanied with being right alongside long street.
Great apartment, however if you love peace and quiet, don't book any of the '03 and '02 rooms, the noise from the clubs in Long Street will keep you up for a while. Insist on Mountain facing rooms. Otherwise decent and friendly staff at your service, ask for Richard
A cosy boutique hotel in the heart of Cape Town. Situated on Long Street which is a good place to really feel the city. So many restaurants, bars, fast food joints, cafe's and shops around adding to the general feel of the hotel. It's in close proximity with everything really: Table mountain, V & A waterfront, Kamps bay. Just everything. Gets noisy over the weekend though because thete are clubs very close to it. We had a good time.
We stayed at Urban Chic on Saturday the 5th May. We found the staff to be very friend and helpful. The Hotel is stunning & very clean with a modern feel to it. Our room had a breathtaking view of Table Mountain. We loved the bustling from downstairs in long street where people were having the time of their lives. We escaped to our tranquil room once we had done some exploring ourselves. I also liked that the Hotel requested out of town folk to honour the water crisis we in Cape Town are experiencing and even gave tips on how to do their part and to save water. I also thought a very nice touch was showing you the weather forecast at reception - so that you can plan your adventures in Cape Town accordingly. We also got to enjoy a wonderful breakfast prepared by very friendly staff. I would recommend Urban Chic. Our experience was simply lovely.
centrally located. close to restaurants and bars. Yes it is a tad noisy but we knew that when we booked. Staff are pleasant. Rooms are spacious. It's about 35 min walk to the waterfront which is superb. You can see table mountain from your room.
Super clean and spacious. Nice interior, would give it a 100 if it wasnt for the noise at night at long street...
Nice hotel, great location. Great breakfast. Gets a bit loud at night. Great table mountain view
Nice place. Nice breakfast. Hotel guests get a free slice of cake everyday. Just keep in mind that long street is very noisy at night so ask reception for some ear plugs
One cannot even begin to say how bad the experience of this hotel is - its sits in the middle of complete and absolute chaos, every night of the week. You will simply not sleep for the entire duration of your stay, something that seems to amuse most of the staff. Seriously, there are far better options. In fact, any other option is better.
It locates in a convenience place where you can enjoy night club light easily if you want. However, it will be noisy in the midnight until 3-4am, especially in the weekend. Ask for the ear plug and it would be helpful for your sleep. The service in the hotel's bar and breakfast restaurant is great. There are different choices of breakfast that would be made after you order. You don't need to feel afraid if you just want to have a drink in this area in late evening. The bar of the hotel provides enough choice and draft beer.
Even if I think its just a LITTLE overpriced I would certainly recommend it to anyone who likes style, comfort and contemporary decor. The hotel is close to almost every place you want to see, expect of course beaches.Breakfast is great and included in the rate.People are very smiley, and helpful nothing to worry about.
The rooms have great view of the Table Mountain and Lion's Head, especially on the corner. All of the staff were friendly with full of hospitality. Breakfast, not only the cold buffet but also the warm dishes right from the kitchen, was also great to start the peaceful day. Room was clean and well designed, and had sufficient space to relax. We would like to come back to this hotel for the next chance to come to Cape Town.
