Venus Guesthouse is an old but romantic house that can sleep six people comfortably. The Guesthouse consists of 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, sitting room and wash up area. The main bedroom has a bathroom, made up of a shower, basin and toilet in the room. Room two has two single beds in it and Room three has a double bed.
There is an additional bathroom in the house with a bath, basin and toilet. Bed linen and towels are provided for your convenience.The sitting room has a fireplace where you can snuggle up in winter as well. The large kitchen has all basics, like fridge, freezer, microwave, two plate stove, toaster, kettle and cutlery. In addition to that there is also a built-in braai in the kitchen for those who do not want to brave the cold at the outside braai. There is ample and safe parking off the street on the premises.
Take a tour of through the literacy museum in the house where two famous Afrikaans poets and writer brothers were born or visit the various shops and restaurants in town.

What a lovely experience. We stayed I. The saffraan unit. So primative and at the same time romantic. Loved the fact that there was only candlelight and a fire place to keep us warm.Juanita did allot of effort to have the place prepared with extra warm water bottels and blankets.Stunning experience.

My car broke down on the way there. I made the booking the night before as Sutherland was on my way. They refused to refund me, not even the deposit. They even refused to move my booking.All the other places I booked in a similar fashion fully refunded me.

We drove to Sutherland recently without having made any reservations anywhere,but needed a place to overnight.We arrived just before sunset and was advised by another guesthouse to speak to Juanita at Kambro kind since they had no rooms available...we thought that by the looks of it that we would propably sleep outside but Juanita welcomed us with open arms and assured us all was well.She immediately took care of our needs and set us up with two houses just outside of the town on their farm.She also gave us firewood for the braai/barbeque since we wanted to spend most of the evening outside - we came all the way from Cape Town to show my sister and brother in law the famous Sutherland stars!! And boy was it worth it!!...the stars were amazing!!! The only other thing that must be said is that you have to see it for yourself!! The local people are very friendly and always willing to help....I would recommend the Kambro kind guesthouse with Juanita and her team any day...my next mission over there will be to spend some time there to experience the winter snow!!!..Well done Kambro kind !!! 5 star service!!
